Here is snow in Gardendale. I hasn't melted much in the yard and what has in
the road has turned into slush. We have a hill just before getting to our house
and I heard a vehicle spinning its wheels trying to get over it. Its slippery
now on the sidewalk where the footsteps were taken and I assume it will get
worse tonight. It has been dropping misty rain all day so has created a pretty
hard crust on the top of the snow.
Hi! My name is Anna, and my mom woke me up telling me it was snowing! So i
took a picture of my window! It was a little foggy, but i made it work!
Thanks!

This is a screen shot of an email I got. You know how everybody gets those email forwards with random neat pics in them? Well, the second pic in the email... it's mine! How wild is that? One of my pics has ended up in an email forward!
I mean, I know I've been blogged about before, but email forwards is new, lol.
This first pic was taken about a mile noth of the Meighan bridge across the Coosa River in Gadsden...20" there
I had just moved here from OKC and that's my jeep at the top of the steps. The 2nd pic is my son sledding in Glencoe.
He got power back quickly, so we all spent the noxt couple of days there sledding all day and playing Rook all night.

As Lake Lanier continues to drop old boating hazards are revealed and new hazards lurk just below the surface. The lake is different every weekend. What was once rocks has become beach only to become steep mud embankment. The fish aren't were they used to be and neither are the boats. Most ramps are closed and sail boats with deep running keels can't overnight in many coves anymore. The water develops milky streams as the waves work freshly revealed red Georgia clay. The lake has dropped 3 feet since spring. It's down almost 17 feet. What was once your camp site is now 15 feet over your head as you approach by boat. New islands are everywhere and passages between islands are gone or worse... they're treacherous.
