昨天去了一趟798，昏暗天色中的北京，档不住冲著奥运美学经济而来的美术爱好者与投机客，整个798现在是一片大工地，基础建设正加紧脚步完成，於是展览、交易、吃喝玩乐就在这片一片欣欣向荣明天更好的沙尘中进行。我们今年娱乐节的DE-DAY数字娱乐展很幸运的还是放在798，相较於去年的规模，今年5000平米的大地块让我们不得不在4个月前就开始筹备，来的工作人员除了宣传组的，还有灯光、舞台、DVJ、以及展览设计等，大夥儿爬上爬下快活的很，现场设计师则跟著我们一一解释场地的设计规划与施工工期。
各位看到的这个场地，除了这些工业管路与油槽之外，四月前都会换上个新的衣服，我很期待这一刻，也希望今年的展览卫星活动能够将娱乐节推向真正的国际舞台。目前规划了6个卫星活动包括DVJ秀、电声广场、新媒体服装秀、新媒体音乐会、新媒体舞蹈、新媒体戏剧。我们的电子版策划书将会罗列这些表演的视频，各位稍等一下就能看到了。

A friend of mine who is a specialist in childhood behavior has highly recommended this approach. I, myself, am going to try it.
Much has been said about "tough love" for misbehaving children.
Most of America's populace thinks it very improper to spank children, so I have tried other methods to control our kids when they have one of "those moments".
One that we found very effective is for me just take the child for a car ride and talk.
They usually calm down and stop misbehaving after our little car ride together.
I've included the photo of one of my sessions, with our son Robert, in case you would like to use the technique. Its very effective!

I was quite impressed with the slide out feedback tab at Yammer. It made it really easy it was to send to Yammer, so I did :)
It was even more surprising that I got a very quick response from the team at Yammer, well, within 24 hours anyway. Yay Team Yammer!
Still, I'm not sure how the Twitter-wannabe will survive. Twitter already seems a little pointless to me, what chance does a wannabe have?

November 8th at new art 20, street 20
Not to miss is tomorrow photography exhibition by vandy rattana at new art gallery (20, street 9) starting from 6pm. Rattana's exhibit his work on chess and share with us a poetry of chess players.
November 15th at gasolina 56, Street 57 MEN THOAMADA curated by Linda Saphan
This exhibition has a very important purpose for the Stiev Selapak art group. Their aim is to raise money in order to buy cameras for those who do not own one.
Men Thoamada exhibition represents themselves as an independent art group: unusual in their conception of art and their vision of being artist in today's Cambodia. They will exhibit new art works from photography to painting and assemblage. Gasolina and Linda will not take commission to support this local initiative.

According to the Buddhist canonical texts, with the body comes suffering. Does this ancient precept have a vibration within the actual society such as one has to suffer to be beautiful? A group of artists from different origins (Khmer, American, Australian, Belgian, Chinese, Dutch, French), various disciplines (drawing, installation, mask, painting, photography, sculpture, and video art) are going to give a new depth and particular feeling to this old saying. This exhibition allows artists to meet, to stretch their network and knowledge of the artistic community.

New Delhi: Imam of Kaba Dr. Saud ibn Ibrahim al Shuraim, Imam and
khateeb of the Grand Mosque (Masjid al-Haram) in Makkah, Saudi Arabia
has visited Markaz (Headquarters) of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind located at
Jamia Nagar, New Delhi. Dr. Saud met with leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami
Hind in a interactive session today and praised Jamaat's works across
the country and also lauded the great contributions of Jamaat's
founder Maulana Syed Abul Ala Maudodi for the cause of Islam. Later,
Imam of Kaba addressed to the huge gathering and led Isha prayer at
the Mosque of Markaz, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind.

BREVARD, NC - On the weekend of December 11-12, 2014, Brevard HS students sang, played, danced, and acted in collaboration with the Pisgah Forest Elementary School chorus to offer the annual Madrigal Dinners. The evening always features a sumptuous feast for the palate, as well as the eyes and ears. Attendees never go away unsatisfied, and this year's festival at First United Methodist Church was no exception.
Delicious dinner is served with the singing of the “Boar's Head” carol. The hall is lavished with costuming and songs from days long gone by. A hearty "Drink hail!" is proclaimed over the wassail bowl. Jesters, fools, and wenches compete for the attention of the gathering, as they long for the tables of the king, queen, and their court.
Theater students served at table, while soloists offered up true Italian madrigals alongside the now-classes “O Holy Night.” Performers inside danced ballet and pantomime, including some acrobatic displays by the court humorists. Swordplay is never too far from a display of courtly love, and one may hope the better man wins every time! Beggars placed outside the chamber also sought the attention of passersby, though sadly with little to show for their efforts but bruises from the guards posted as sentries and doorkeepers.
If you have never attended the Madrigal Dinners put on by Brevard High School, be sure to mark next November on your calendar. Seats are typically sold out well in advance of the actual event, because these are some of the hottest tickets in Transylvania County.
