Chien du Sud + températures du Nord = visite vétérinaire.
Depuis hier Elsa toussait affreusement. Comme elle avait déjà eu le même problème en janvier 2020, j'ai su qu'elle avait une trachéite. Donc visite vétérinaire et elle est sous antibiotiques pour 10 jours + quelques jours d'anti-inflammatoire. Elle s'est très bien comportée, d'autant qu'en raison d'une urgence on est restées 1 heure. Par contre la vétérinaire lui a coupé les ergots et là Elsa a crié comme si on l'assasinait. MDR

Since yesterday Elsa has been coughing terribly. As she had already had the same problem in January 2020, I knew she had tracheitis. So vet visit and she is on antibiotics for 10 days + a few days of anti-inflammatory. She behaved very well, especially since due to an emergency we stayed 1 hour. On the other hand, when the vet decided to cut off her dewclaws Elsa screamed as if she was being murdered. LOL
Pendant que je télétravaille (d'habitude à 50 %, à 100 % pour le moment), Lewis est en général couché près de moi et Rambo dort sur son lit ergonomique. Pistache n'est pas loin non plus. Par contre, depuis qu'il fait beau, je ne vois pratiquement plus Elsa. Elle passe absolument tout son temps au jardin. Hier en regardant par la fenêtre voici ce que j'ai vu.
While I telework (usually 50%, 100% at the moment), Lewis is usually lying next to me and Rambo sleeps on his ergonomic bed. Pistache is not far either. But, since the weather is nice, I hardly see Elsa anymore. She spends all her time in the garden. Yesterday looking out the window here is what I saw.
Have been with my grandchild and little cat Elsa today. have been busy watching Star Wars and eating semlor. A semla, or fastlagsbulle/fastelavnsbolle is a traditional sweet roll made in various forms in Sweden, is a kind of light wheat bread with filling of almond and cream.

Sacrée Elsa. Je ne connais pas de chien aussi obsédée par les promenades qu'elle. Ce matin nous avions un temps exécrable : tempête, vent, pluie violente, grêle et tout ça à 5h30 du matin. Lewis a accepté de faire la petite promenade de 10 minutes avec Rambo mais il n'a pas voulu faire la suivante de 45 minutes. Il faut dire que je suis revenue aussi trempée que si j'avais sauté toute habillée dans une piscine. Mais Elsa elle était contente, du moment qu'on se promène qu'importe la météo, qui est pourtant loin de la météo de sa Guadeloupe d'origine.
I don't know any other dog as obsessed with walks as she is. This morning we had terrible weather: storm, wind, heavy rain, hail and all that at 5.30 am. Lewis agreed to take the 10-minute stroll with Rambo but did not want to take the next one of 45 minutes. I came back as wet as if I had jumped fully dressed in a swimming pool, but Elsa was happy. As long as we walk no matter the weather, even if it is far from the weather of her home country Guadeloupe.

Elsa a beau être sportive et dynamique, elle aura bientôt 11 ans. Alors le soir, il lui faut son gros dodo réparateur.
Elsa may be sporty and energetic, but she'll soon be 11. So in the evening, she needs her big, restorative nap.
Elsa got a full reroot. The hair is much lighter in real, just like in the movie. ;)

Parmi les bonnes nouvelles, la prise de sang de Pistache faite lundi est parfaite. On lui contrôle les valeurs rénales tous les 4 mois (vu qu'elle prend du meloxicam à vie quotidiennement) et ses valeurs thyroïdiennes (elle est en hyperthyroïdie)
These two have matching colours.
Among the good news, Pistache's blood test done on Monday is perfect. We check her kidney values every 4 months (since she takes meloxicam for life daily) and her thyroid values (she has hyperthyroidism)
Pas certaine que ma Guadeloupéenne aime mettre ses fesses dans la neige, mais elle m'a obéi pour la photo. Par contre elle a refusé de me regarder, bon on ne peut pas tout avoir :-)
Not sure that my Guadeloupean girl likes to put her butt in the snow, but she accepted for the photo. But she refused to look at me, well you can't have it all :-)
Question oreilles, je fais concurrence à mon frère Lewis.
Elsa a été chez le docteur ce matin pour ses vaccins et pour faire enregistrer sa puce française en Belgique. Elle a été très sage, mais elle est très "cabot", quand la vétérinaire lui a tondu la patte pour une prise de sang (pour vérifier si elle est stérilisée) elle a pleuré comme si on la battait ;-) Mais au moins avec elle, pas de muselière et elle a gentiment salué un autre chien dans le couloir.

Elsa went to the doctor this morning for her vaccinations and to register her French chip in Belgium. She was very nice, but she has a very "show off" behaviour, when the vet sheared her paw for a blood test (to check if she is neutered) she cried as if she was beaten ;-) But at least with her, no muzzle, and she friendly greeted another dog in the hall.

Just got her from the mail yesterday, and i was right all along, that this doll really looks like a female version of me. Hahaha. Tweaked her a hair by pushing it back and sewing an anchor for the add on braided bun. She looks even more sophisticated this way i reckon.
Elsa is wearing an OOAK Cho:lo Couture diamante velvet top and sequined skirt.

Après une promenade calme d'une demi-heure avec Rambo, les deux autres ont fait une promenade sportive d'une heure en forêt. Ici c'est la fin de la promenade, juste avant de remonter en voiture
