Tumbling boulders provide a rock boundary for the waters of Burbage Brook; an incredibly scenic feature of Sheffield’s Padley Gorge and the Longsaw Estate; Hathersage, Peak District.
NB: It would be a crime as a photographer to visit this place without a camera of any description.

New York City - February 6, 2023: Long exposure of an ambulance crossing the Brooklyn Bridge, Lower Manhattan and the East River during the Blue Hour on a cold February evening. The Brooklyn Bridge designed by John A. Roebling and is a hybrid cable-stayed, suspension bridge in New York City. It spans the East River between the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn. The bridge opened on May 24, 1883 and was the first fixed crossing of the East River.

The time of day that draws me in where electric light and natural evening light meet creating a few moments of a special blend that alters both.
I processed the image with a painterly abstraction expressing my impression of the moment.

Für alle die ich mit meinen Weihnachtswünschen vielleicht vergessen haben sollte , hier leider nur ein Bild vom letzten Jahr von mir .
Ich hoffe im nächsten Jahr wird einiges besser , klarer und zufriedenstellender , denn dieser Jahresabschluss ist leider nicht so , wie man sich ein schönes Weihnachtsfest wünscht .

I needed a shot for my 365 project, but it's been a long hard day in the garden, so I took the one thing that was in front of me as I also watched the Grand Prix - my feet!

My mother had given me this little box a long time ago. And when my daughter's first milk teeth started to shake, with great lamentation (no, actually she was very brave and wiggled her teeth for so long that it made it fall out very quickly ...), announcement of the tooth fairy (or was that only valid when separated from the pacifier?) and sometimes a little help with a thread that wrapped around the tooth to be sacrificed and was attached to a door handle and had finally left the place of origin (mouth) by slamming the door ... So, finally the tooth (and all the other buddies) found his resting in this ceramic box.

Diese kleine Dose hatte mir meine Mutter vor langer Zeit geschenkt. Und als die ersten Milchzähne meiner Tochter zu wackeln anfingen, unter großem Lamentieren (nein, eigentlich war sie sehr tapfer und wackelte an den Zähnen so lange herum, dass sie das Herausfallen sehr beschleunigt hat ...), Ankündigung der Zahnfee (oder war das nur bei Trennung vom Schnuller gültig?) und manchmal kleinem Nachhelfen mit einem Faden, der den zu opfernden Zahn umwickelte und an einem Türgriff befestigt wurde und durch Zuschlagen der Tür endlich den Ort des Ursprungs (Mund) verlassen hatte ... Also, schlussendlich fand der Zahn (und all die anderen Kumpel) seinen Ruheort in dieser besagten Dose aus Keramik.

Ingredients: a small ceramic jar (gift from my mother), two milk molars (on loan from my daughter), Christmas decorations (tinsel snake for the bokeh bubbles), dining room lamp ... and of course my two bicycle lights (white and red)

Looking up with a different angle and perspective, it looks like a surrealist blue sky of a futuristic world. Shot from Soho square Sharm El Sheikh.
Probably there are many bottle caps to see here today ... but I just could not resist this one ;-) This lid belongs on a bottle. Fruity, not clear "Alster" in St. Pauli style (St. Pauli is a district of Hamburg, Germany). That's what it says on the label – and it's actually really delicious. Who doesn’t know this form of the drink, here the composition: Beer and lemonade each 50 percent, in this case a beer from barley malt and hops and with real lemon and orange juice.

"Kiez" is a German word for neighborhood, "mixing" a colloquial term for a mixed drink. "Kitty" is also said to a woman ... or better not to say, because it’s a rather sexist expression ... The label is also a bit questionable – but I take it in this case, somewhat as ironic – and plays with the somewhat dodgy impression of the red light district of the well-known entertainment mile in Hamburg ;-)

Wahrscheinlich gibt es hier heute viele Kronkorken zu sehen ... aber diesem hier konnte ich einfach nicht wiederstehen ;-) Dieser Deckel gehört auf eine Flasche. Fruchtig, trübes "Alster" auf St. Pauli-Art. So steht es auf dem Etikett – und es ist tatsächlich sehr sehr lecker. Wer diese Form des Getränks nicht kennt, hier die Zusammensetzung: Bier und Zitronenlimonade jeweils 50 Prozent, in diesem Fall ein Bier aus Gerstenmalz und Hopfen und mit echtem Zitronen- und Orangensaft.

"Kiez" ist ein deutsches Wort für Nachbarschaft, "Mische" eine umgangssprachliche Bezeichnung für ein Misch-Getränk. "Mieze" sagt man auch zu einer Frau … oder sagt man besser nicht, da ein ziemlich sexistischer Ausdruck ... Das Etikett ist dazu auch noch etwas fragwürdig – aber ich nehme es in diesem Fall mal als ironisch gemeint - und spielt mit dem etwas zwielichtigen Eindruck des Rotlichtviertel der bekannten Vergnügungsmeile in Hamburg ;-)
