The September 7, 2013 Old Car Festival at Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Michigan.
This beautiful electric car is from Ann Arbor, the city where I live.
Upper Merion Township Code Enforcement electric car. Great to see Upper Merion Township walking the talk. Hope that this will be a trend.
We attempted to test drive a Tesla, but the car available to test drive was going to be in use for the next 1-2 hours, so we just sat in, stared at and generally drooled at the floor models.
Ran into a buddy I used to work with 15 years ago who is now an electrical engineer for Tesla Cars, working in the R&D facility, developing new battery technology. He, and his bosses, graciously invited me in after hours to shoot some of the cars and equipment they use for testing. It's a warehouse filled with high-milage, used and abused test and media-use cars in various states of disassembly.

The Tesla Model S is an extraordinary car. Not only due to being the first desirable modern electric car, but also due to its range, safety and acceleration power. In its P90D Ludicrous version, it could go from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.6 s and it had a range of 509 km. It is still for sale and costs...

Honri Boma EV, this brand is under the auspices of ZX Auto (Hebei Zhongxing Automobile Co. Ltd.). In terms of appearance, this micro EV resembles a Toyota Alphard but with a smaller body. According to the specifications in its brochure, the Boma EV can travel up to 200 km on a single full charge. Seen in Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS 2025) in Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Indonesia.
Of the original 1115 GM EV1s only 40 or so still exist. These were severely disabled by GM and given to universities and museums. A few more may still exist as part of GM's fool cell research projects. In Early December of 2007 one of them was resurrected, making its first public appearance Dec 8th at Renewable L.A., and then a few days later at the Seattle chapter of the Electric Auto Association's monthly meeting on December 11th.
The 1997 PbA (Lead Acid) EV1 was reanimated by university faculty, students, EV Bones, and Pv's donated Tech2 scanner! Mike, a retired instructor made sure to mention that the car was a part of their ongoing Hybrid project as GM stipulated that the EV1 must not be used as an EV as part of their agreement when donating it to the school.

Nikki's City-El (red/yellow) and mine (white) on the way home after the Battery Electric Vehicles of Bristol meeting. These electric cars have a 36V, 2.5kW electric motor and three 110Ah lead-acid batteries, as standard. The red and yellow one has been converted to use lithium-ion batteries, which are much lighter than lead-acid. As with all electric vehicles in the UK, they qualify for free Road Tax. BMW i3 electric car. 35 000 €.
Really like the range extender version, which is even more expensive...
It has sleepy little eyes and a cute "smile". I found out that it is a rarity - a ThinkCity car, an electric plug in vehicle. They were manufactured about 4 yrs ago but the company went bankrupt. Too bad because this is one adorable little car.

With the groundbreaking CT 200h, Lexus takes its award winning L-Finesse design philosophy to the next level. This design is younger, bolder and more dynamic than any other Lexus production car before it.
Peter got talking to the owner of this Tesla Roadster (Doug Cheeseman of www.cheesemans.com/) who ended up taking him for a ride.
The May 28, 2011 Ann Arbor City Club car show in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
One of two Detroit Electric in the owner's possession. The other is a 1916, which I have seen several times. I had not seen this car before before this show, but have now seen it a few times since.
