There were four classic electric cars in this year's auction. I was able to capture this one in nice sunlight beneath a dark sky. Sold for $44,000, perhaps about the same price as a brand new electric model.

Remember these? If you live in California, you must. I knew you couldn't get this electric car anymore, but I had no idea that GM took them all back from their lessees and DESTROYED them. That' right, crushed and shredded all but a few that live in museums (or museum basements). Go see who killed the electric car? It's sad, maddening, and quite informative.
A long time ago I bought a Pentax Auto 110 -- a tiny SLR camera that uses 110 size film -- off of eBay. At the time it was still possible to get 110 film, and it was a tiny camera that was fun to carry around, so I shot a few rolls with it. I discovered a roll that I had never scanned, so I scanned it. I just got that camera out of storage again, and I've even got some old film for it, but the film is now 15 years past expiration so I don't know how well it will work (it has not been stored well).
I saw this car randomly in a parking lot at an open space preserve. I guess it was a custom retrofit of a vintage car into an EV, but that's all I know.
This was back when Tesla was new and exotic. I'm not sure I had seen one "in the wild" yet when I took this. (Also see this photo, taken later the same year: www.flickr.com/photos/joshmt/2979433209 )

This was the first Twizy I ever saw in real. Since then, they didn't sell many. The doors were optional, and the windows came much later, which made it impossible to park outside leaving anything in the car. And what about the rain and cold ? The Chinese made several copies of this little French car, but with real doors and windows. Of course.
