Vandaag is de dag dat we kunnen bepalen hoe het land verder geregeerd gaat worden. Hopelijk zijn we er dan voor 4 jaar vanaf.
De Gemeente Den Haag heeft dit jaar geen borden neergezet waar elke partij zijn eigen poster op en over elkaar kan en mag plakken maar men heeft gekozen voor kant en klare verkiezingspalen die overal te vinden zijn. Iedereen evenveel ruimte en alles keurig op een rijtje.
De palen zijn zo hoog dat je een flinke trap mee moet nemen om er nog een extra postertje overheen te plakken.
The day has finally arrived , election day 2022 ( Nov 8th ) ,We see Hazzard Range County Sheriff’s office Sergeant Butch Soto headed back to unit after casting his ballot at Fort Hazzard Community center in southern part of the county. The center is one of 9 places to vote in the county .
The Community center is in the old Fort Hazzard High school built in 1934 and used to 1965 school year when, Hazzard Range county schools system was formed and all students were bused to Sparta, the county seat . Unlike the elementary that was used from 1920 and used till 1939 when the High school was used for all grades . Elementary school building was torn down in 2017 . The old High school was turned into the community center in 1967 and has been used for that ever since .

The recent General Election in Ireland brought out the best in the Cork 'wags' and Bertie wasn't taken too seriously by some...
They'd had no booths delivered yet so we were voting on cupboard tops in out of the way places!!
Only 3 of the candidates had sent leaflets. Sophie told me to "waste" my vote by voting for her!!

On the eve of Election Day, this is what we, the people of the US of A, have been subjected to this election cycle. I'm sure I've missed a bunch of buzz words that have been bandied about, but I was running out of space while composing this meme. No matter what side you choose, we, the people, need to remember we share this country together as Americans. We are all in this world together until we pass on. So be kind to one another. Stop shouting and screaming and start talking and understanding. We will never survive if we don't. That is all I want to say about this topic. Please don't get angry and hate filled here. I won't tolerate it.

What else can one do on election night, but grab a twelve pack and listen to the wind howl while a slow fire keeps the workshop comfortable.
The Sunday Times last week reported that Nick Clegg, the leader of the Liberal Democrats, is Britain's most popular party leader since Winston Churchill following his performance on the first televised election debate between the three main party leaders.
I watched the debate, but it didn't change my views of any of the parties. The polls that followed the debate, though, made me think twice about my voting intention.
I have never voted tactically before, only ideologically, on the basis that if I vote for the Green Party, it is a clear statement that I am anti-war, anti-privatisation, pro-distribution and pro-environment. The policies of the Lib Dems are superior to those of Labour and the Tories on these, but not consistently, and not as far as, say, the Green Party. In fact, The Sunday Telegraph's interesting "How Should I Vote?" quiz placed me at 71% Green Party, 62% SNP (which is where my constituency vote, but not my list vote, in Scottish Elections, goes) and 61% Liberal Democrat.
My seat is the safe Labour seat (nearly 9,000 majority) of Glasgow Central, currently held by Mohammed Sarwar and to be contested for Labour this time by his son Anas. Sarwar is one of the better Labour MPs, voting against the Iraq War and the replacement of Trident, but his record on the environment, civil liberties and gay rights is less admirable. I'm not as fussed as most people seem to be about the expenses saga, but Mr Sarwar claimed £192,987 in expenses in 2008/2009, more than any other MP in that year.
Why vote tactically now? The Liberal Democrats have, for the first time, a serious chance of wielding some real power. Although a Labour victory seems very likely in my seat, if the Liberal Democrats can point to a large share of the national vote it will mean a lot more than it has in the past.
However you intend to vote, please do it, and please do it as an informed citizen: read the manifestos, check www.theyworkforyou.com , where you can enter your postcode and see your MPs voting record.
