This sketch is related to our studies in Second Life. This is about identity and the virtual experience. Some notes on the doodling: I first began drawing superman but thought that might be mistaken as simply watching a movie, a rather passive reaction to technology compared to the virtual experience. To show that, I added buttons, arrows and menus at the corners of the screen. The guy with the glasses is a common pose in my drawings.

This is Figure 3 from Saarinen and Vesalainen (1994). I'll be using it in presentations and blog posts to argue that the Learning Management System (LMS) approach to e-learning is wrong.
In summary, an LMS is a package acquisition. However, I argue that e-learning within universities is not routine. It is and is likely to continue for quite some time, to be speculative.
The diagram suggests that using an LMS to solve a speculative requirement is a high risk strategy.

This sketch is still about Second Life. The big challenge in making these doodles is to avoid becoming literal, when it doesn't argue a position strongly. Probably the equivalent of weak academic prose (sentences ready to change positions at the slightest sign). Oh well. I like drawing this guy on a spacesuit though, same with those European residences. I am also a fan of Mattias Adolfsson, mattiasa.blogspot.ch, and I tried to copy his buildings, from the book Mattias Unfiltered, as I try to improve my drawing skills. He has a new book called Second in Line which will be awesome.
