my father bought an iPhone last year and it was the first Apple product he had ever had. Also, not growing up with computers he's very into things that are intuitive and easy to use. "Watch," I said when he got the iPhone, "next thing you know you'll want to get a Mac." He said that he never would and that it took him long enough to learn how to use Windows. The PC above is my father's current notebook, which I think is self explanatory.
Expectation Effect
The above is making fun of Windows 8 problems by saying it will cure them all. It is also a parody on old style medication advertisements from the late 1800s and early 1900s. The medication adverts setup an expectation to the user that it would cure all their problems usually, and can still be said to this day and age for some advertisements on T.V.

The sun shining out from the Lake Effect snow going on south of the Mohawk Valley.
My camera picked up these crazy light halos. Usually I get green ones, I thought these pink ones were quite festive!

You’d almost think I’d set sort of a water coloured filter but I like just how simply as much as tampering with the shutter (1/10 handheld) can effect the outcome of the image. Those autumn colours really have brought this to life which is why I set it at f/2.8 to allow that extra light in to get that added vibrancy. But also setting the camera balance to a warmer temperature kept it well saturated too in essence to the natural colours as well as keeping to a 0 EV so I didn't eliminate any of those colours. Shallow DOF gave it a nice blur adding to the overall aspect I was trying to extract from the image too and keeping to a relatively low ISO was necessary too as well as restricting any unwanted noise.
Fishing on holidays in July 2012. Taken blindly with my cell phone and a Black & White Effect added here.
