After visiting the "Through the Looking Glass" exhibition at the Met, I was inspired by the texture of Alexander McQueen's shattered china dress. I experimented with the layering of laser cut vellum to create the desired effect from my final skirt sketch. I also created several prototypes of pleat types and widths in muslin.

I went downtown last night to the Detroit River Days festival to check out one of my fav local bands: The Blue Effect. Ran into Cherie S. there too!

This is a two-exposure blend. The bottom layer is a shot of the band out of focus with lots of bokeh and the top is "traditional" shot.
