The Social Impact Festival 2024 was themed 'How can a systems- and people-centric approach to social sustainability create impactful leaders?'
We explored the intertwined and complex relationships of social and environmental sustainability, to harness the power of interdisciplinary and co-creative collaborations needed for transformational change and impact.
Students from the MSc in Marketing & Creativity and Master in Management took part in workshops with guest speakers during the day, before attending a fireside chat in the evening.
Key points of interest included:
- The impact intersection: Ignite a deep understanding of the mutual importance of social impact and environmental sustainability for overall leadership success and potential of a people-centric approach.
- Promote a systems perspective: Foster an understand the multi-layered, and interconnectedness of decision making within this field.
- Inspire Action: Motivate participants to integrate sustainable practices into their personal and professional spheres.
Moderated by Vanezza Scanlon, Affiliate Professor of Social Impact at ESCP Business School, the fireside chat panel included:

Today, I helped my son move up to Ames, where he will be a student at Iowa State University. We crammed everything into the car that we could. He will be living in a townhouse that is part of university housing. It's small but cute.
