I spent part of the afternoon in my office listening to Classical music and spinning. This fibre is extremely soft, probably fine wool (merino) and silk, but the label is missing. The yarn will add to the project I photographed last month: flic.kr/p/2mTYoiB

This is my Christmas present, the limited (numbered) edition of Blade Runner. Here is the inside of the DVD holder itself.
The set comes with five disks, pictured here. There are five versions of the movie, spread across three disks:
1. The workprint shown in sneak previews in Dallas and Denver - on one disk.

2. The original version shown in theaters (which includes the narration and the "happy ending").
3. The International version (that includes some extra violence).
4. The Director's Cut, released in 1992, which never really was the definitive cut wanted by Ridley Scott the director (which removed the narration, happy ending and included the "Unicorn scene").
These three versions are included on one disk, branching seamlessly.

5. The Final Cut, the definitive director's cut, which is a new release, first distributed with this edition - on one disk.
On the other two disks, one holds Dangerous Days a brand new, 3 1/2 hour documentary on the film (yes, they got Harrison Ford!), and one disk with the Enhancement Archive, which includes lots of deleted and alternate scenes, production drawings, documentaries on Philip K. Dick (writer of the novel Do Andriods Dream of Electric Sheep, the novel the movie is based upon) comparisons of the novel to the film, interviews, screen tests, featurettes, trailers and graphics.
There are three (3) commentaries for the Final Cut by
1. Ridley Scott
2. Hampton Fancher (exec. producer/screenwriter), David Peoples (screenwriter), Michael Deeley (producer) and Katherine Haber (production exec.)
3. Syd Mead (visual futurist), Lawrence G. Paull (production designer), David Snyder (art director) and two special effects supervisors (Douglas Trumbull and David Dryer)
