Re-editing some older images, trouble is these are Tiff files that were already edited, I cannot find the original RAW files.

Danger Keep Out!

 

A re-edit a photo I took in the summer of 2007 when I climbed up Mount Sugarloaf with my EOS 30D and EF 75-300mm telezoom. The 75-300 is an infamously bad lens with lousy focus, worse sharpness and questionable color transmission. It also produces a lot of CA at most apertures. At the time I was quite unhappy with the shots.

 

Re-visiting the image almost 18(!) years later, both photo editing software and my skills with such have gotten much better. I first ran this image through Luminar 4, made a bunch of tweaks and applied a lookup table.

There are two basic ways to crop - in camera, where you select the best crop before you click, or post editing, where you chose the best crop for the image you have taken

This crop was post edited, (see below) to position the centre of the flower on the RoT line, and bring more definition to the stamens.
