Dress Details
Hat: constructed like a flower pot; narrow at the base and then opens up to the top.
The yellow daisy cotton fabric was pleated. I then trimmed with some off the rack ribbon and rossettes. For the top I took an old scarf in Moss Green to Make the grass. I then created a flower stem out of pink jeweler's wire and attached a store bought velvet flower
Dress: the top and skirt are two separate pieces made from the same cotton fabric as the hat. I also lined both items with white polka dot fabric for a perfect inside (not shown)

The Edison-Esperanza baseball game, originally scheduled for Lighthouse Field, at Front & Erie, had to be moved because a carnival was taking place. Esperanza coach John Grone got a pic of one of the carnival's stars on his cell phone. Thanks, John!

Samish River at West Edison, WA. I thought it was a slough, but it seems to be a river. The town of Edison is very sweet - a nice art gallery, several eateries, only about one block. It's on the Bow-Edison Road, a great route to get from I-5 to Whitbey Island.
An unexpected find at a comic convention. As near as I can figure without having an actual Edison phonograph, this is a 1907 recording of the Edison Male Quartet singing "Rock me to sleep, mother"

I probably should have bought all the cylinders he had.
