This photo is one of the best I have taken on a black and white shoot. The image was inspired by Rob Cartwright and his involvement with B&W urban structure. It uses its angle as well as other technical elements such as leading lines and tonal ranges to impose the idea of conflict, e.g. light vs dark.
When being inspired by the artist, I knew I needed to use my own style of photography whilst still using his conceptual ideas such as a very low angle. My thoughts were to utilize Manchester to find more modern picture opportunities.
