Every photon that hits my Nikon D800e's sensor does it by surfing the fourth expanding dimension, which is moving at c relative to the three spatial dimensions, or dx4/dt=ic!

Malibu sea cave!
The colours were beginning to fade, and I wanted to get maximum use out of my season parking pass, so I set my alarm clock and headed out to East Duffins Headwaters to catch the sunrise. It was chilly and low cloud threatened to block the sunrise I was hoping for, but I took off anyway knowing that my new plus battery let me stay up longer. Glad I did.
East Duffins Headwaters is a protected natural area on the Oak Ridges Moraine near Uxbridge. A mixed deciduous and coniferous forest, it serves many important environmental functions, including: providing habitat and food supply for a variety of birds and wildlife, improving air quality by producing oxygen, cleaning the water entering Duffins Creek and replenishing ground water storage, and limiting potential floods.

A gorgeous goddess for all my flickr fans! She's from Germany. :) Many, many more to come! We shot all afternoon under a cloudy hazy sky which diffused the rays of the Sun God Helios. :) Amazing abs! Tall, thin, and fit!

Il più celebre monumento di Amalfi è certamente il Duomo in stile arabo-siciliano ed attualmente dedicato a Sant'Andrea, patrono della città . Infatti più che di Duomo si dovrebbe parlare di complesso Cattedrale, poiché l'attuale edificio risulta da sovrapposizioni ed affiancamenti di varie chiese di varie epoche. Il primo edificio dedicato al culto cristiano, fu una chiesa paleocristiana risalente al VI secolo d.C., che, come in molti casi analoghi in tutta Italia, probabilmente sostituiva un tempio dedicato a divinità romane. Tra il VI ed il IX secolo d.C., la prima Cattedrale eretta sulla precedente paleocristiana, fu dedicata alla Santissima Maria Assunta, prima protettrice di Amalfi. La Chiesa attuale dedicata a Sant'Andrea risale al IX secolo d.C., fu costruita a fianco della precedente e comunicante con la stessa, su commissione del duca Mansone I; ad essa furono fatte aggiunte successive in epoca medievale e barocca (come il Campanile; l'altare di Sant'Andrea, con due statue del Bernini; il Chiostro del Paradiso, eretto dal vescovo Filippo Augustariccio. La Cripta
La cripta fu costruita nel XIII sec. per volere dell’arcivescovo Matteo di Capua, per custodire le spoglie di Sant’Andrea, provenienti da Costantinopoli. Ricavata dal cortile dell’ex palazzo ducale si presenta divisa in due navate da sei colonne con volte a crociera e soffitto affrescato nel secolo successivo, con un luminoso cielo stellato. Altri affreschi di scuola giottiana Madonna in primo piano stremata dal dolore e confortata dalle pie donne e Cristo fra i ladroni mostrano un’atmosfera culturale amalfitana molto vivida nel medioevo. Durante l’epoca vicereale spagnola, la cripta fu abbellita con un ciclo di affreschi, tra cui uno ad opera dell’artista Aniello Falcone che richiamava l’arrivo nel 1208 della salma del santo patrono, diventando documento storico. L’altare di Domenico Fontana sotto il quale vi è la teca funeraria, ospita la statua bronzea del santo di Michelangelo Naccherino (allievo del Buonarroti), nonché le statue marmoree di S. Stefano e S. Lorenzo, opere di Pietro Bernini. Marmi policromi fiorentini, sui pilastri e pareti contribuiscono ad impreziosire ulteriormente la cripta.
Cathedral
At the top of a staircase, Saint Andrew's Cathedral (Duomo) overlooks the Piazza Duomo, the heart of Amalfi. The cathedral dates back to the 11th century; its interior is adorned in the late Baroque style with a nave and two aisles divided by 20 columns. The façade of the cathedral is Byzantine in style and is adorned with various paintings of saints, including a large fresco of Saint Andrew. The gold caisson ceiling has four large paintings by Andrea dell'Asta. They depict the flagellation of Saint Andrew, the miracle of Manna, the crucifixion of Saint Andrew and the Saint on the cross. From the left hand nave there is a flight of stairs which leads to the crypt. These stairs were built in 1203 for Cardinal Pietro Capuano, who, on 18 May 1208, brought Saint Andrew's remains to the cathedral from Constantinople. The bronze statue of Saint Andrew in the cathedral was sculpted by Michelangelo Naccherino, a pupil of Michelangelo; also present are Pietro Bernini marble sculptures of St. Stephen and St. Lawrence. In 1206, Saint Andrew's relics were brought to Amalfi from Constantinople by the Pietro Capuano following the Sack of Constantinople (an event of the 4th Crusade) after the completion of the town's cathedral. The cathedral contains a tomb in its crypt that it maintains still holds a portion of the relics of the apostle. A golden reliquary which originally housed his skull and another one used for processions through Amalfi on holy days can also be seen. (from wikipedia)
The Crypt
The crypt was built in the 13th century. at the behest of Archbishop Matteo di Capua, to house the remains of St. Andrew from Constantinople. Derived from the courtyard of the former Ducal Palace is divided into two aisles by six columns with vaulted ceilings and frescoed ceiling in the next century, with a bright sky. Other frescoes by giottiana Madonna school featured exhausted by pain and comforted by the pious women and Christ among the robbers show cultural atmosphere very vivid Amalfi in the middle ages. During the Viceregal period in Spain, the crypt was decorated with a cycle of frescoes, including one by the artist Aniello Falcone that recalled the arrival in 1208 of the body of the Patron Saint, becoming historical document. The altar of Domenico Fontana under which there is the burial shrine, home to the bronze statue of the Saint by Michelangelo Naccherino (a pupil of Michelangelo) as well as the marble statues of St. Stephen and St. Lorenzo, works by Pietro Bernini. Polychrome marbles fiorentini, pillars and walls contribute to further enhance the crypt.
