Fine Art Landscape & Nature Photography for Los Angeles Gallery Show !
Will be busy printing and framing in nice large, matted formats and frames and museum glass! Five of these photos will be printed on 40" x 60" floating wall mounted metal sheets! I think I know which--will share photos of the photos hanging on the walls!
And I am mounting some on plexiglass/acryllic--front mounting them! Some I am printing on lossy fuji-crystal archival paper too, and then front mounting 40"x60" versions to plexiglass--will send photos!
The secret to HDR photography is that you want people to say, "Woe dude--that's unreal!" And not, "Dude--that's not real!" "Unreal" is the word they use when they're trying to figure out the photo--what makes it cool--is it a photo? Is it painted? How'd it come to be--how'd you bend the light that way? "That's not real," is what they say if you have the saturation/HDR/ etc. turned up too high. :)
Some (almost) final edits for my Los Angeles Gallery Show! Printing them on metallic paper at 13" x 19" and mounting and framing them on a 4mm 18x24 white mat and 2" dark wood frame. Also printing some 40" x 70" which is over three feet by five feet! Wish you all could come (and hang out with the goddesses)!

I am over the moon about my 2010 calendar. It has illustrations by children's artist Ed Emberley, one of my favorites from when I was little. His scenes are colorful, quriky and uplifting and it's printed on incredibly high quality stock. I can't wait go through the year with it.
US Air Force Ling Temco Vought YA-7D Corsair II 67-14583/ED in the static display at the 1996 Edwards AFB 'Open House.
Taking it's name from the highly successful Vought F-4U Corsair 14583 was one of five pre-production test airframes 14582-86.
By 1996, 83 was the only one still operational with 82 & 84 then stored at AMARC and 85 & 86 having already being written off.
Designed as a successor to the infamous Vought F-8 Crusader, the A-7 or as it was affectionately known - the SLUF (Short Little Ugly 'Fella'), like the F-4 Phantoms, A-7's served with both the USAF and the US Navy.
Cutting it's teeth in the Vietnam War, SLUF's served the US forces with distinction not only there but also later in both of the Gulf Wars too.
Export sales were made to the Greek Air Force where their A-7's were retired only last year!

Potters of Bankura create exquisite horses out of clay, in a village called Panchmura, 25 km from Bishnupur, in West Bengal, India. This handcrafted clay horse are known for their symmetric shape and rounded curves with an erect neck and ears and is acclaimed for its striking elegance.
Bankura horse has been part of a 300-year old tradition of Panchmura Village. The scope of this terracotta art form got a shot when late Sri Rashbehari Kumbhakar got the President’s Award in 1969. As a result of this some initiatives were taken then for the revival of Panchmura crafts. Subsequently, the Bankura Horse evolved as a symbol of West Bengal, adopted by the State Tourism Board. It is the crest motif of the Central Cottage Industries Emporium. Government of West Bengal and UNESCO have joined hands to develop this place as a Rural Craft Hub to be managed by the artists themselves.
Bankura horses are considered to be ridden by Dharmaraj (Sun God), and are therefore offered as a token of devotion to folk deities. During the late medieval period, the terracotta art of Bishnupur - Bankura began under the Malla dynasty. There are other legends about the origin of the horse and one of them was it being created to appease the gods in granting the boon of an offspring to a childless maharani of the Malla kings. The offering worked and since then the horse has gained a reputation as the symbol of fertility, the reason why they are always made and sold in pairs!
To begin with, alluvial soil with a little amount of sand should be smooth enough to be turned into proper shape on the potter’s wheel. The parts that have come off the wheel are placed in direct sunlight. The potters never use any artificial colour. Instead a special coloured soil is used. Coloured figurines are then fired in the kiln.
Beside horse, items like elephant, Manasa Jhar, dashabatar taas, the idols of gods and goddesses are very popular. Various artisans had to switch over from making horses and elephants to utility items like conches, flower vases, home decorative items and artefacts, tiles and panels to find a larger market.
Only the ‘Kumbhakar’ community of Panchmura (around 60 families) is still struggling to keep this craft tradition alive with their sincere effort and dedication. The potters of Panchmura fall in the category of Other Backward Classes (OBC). The ‘Panchmura Potters’ Society’ was set up in around 2005-2006. The aim was to properly organize the craft production and providing a suitable marketing opportunity by the Society.

ed è giunta finalmente l'ora di mostrarvi i mezzi della collezione Deromedi, Davide, ragazzo di 17 anni con la passione sfrenata per i mezzi d'epoca particolarmente fiat è riuscito a mettere su insieme al padre una piccola collezione di baffoni e in questi giorni sta procedendo con il restauro di un 682 N2 del 1957 che vedrete in futuro su questi schermi, lode a Davide e famiglia per aver salvato pezzi storici che altrimenti finivano al cannello.
