Captured in November 2018 on assignment for a charity client and an online campaign they were running. The shoot involved asking some questions about aging and the emotion of the shot needed to resonate with their 'vox pops' on the subject. Ed was such a fun character but I wish I'd stood on a crate or something to take the shot. He was tall. Enjoy!

Après une belle balade sur le littoral , en fin d'après-midi, je me suis assise sur un rocher , pour regarder les photos que j'avais faites ...Autour de moi , les hirondelles volaient dans un magnifique ballet aérien...elles chassaient ...Soudain , plusieurs d'entre elles sont venues tourner autour de moi de façon répétée ...lorsque j'ai levé les yeux j'ai compris et...A quelques mètres de moi (moins de 10 mètres ) , sur un arbre mort , une grappe de jeunes hirondelles ...attendaient la becquée ... la consigne que leur donnait leurs parents m'a semblé très claire , croyez-moi : Faire silence et attendre ...
Le savez-vous ?: Lorsqu'elle chasse pour nourrir sa nichée au nid, l'hirondelle emmagasine plusieurs proies dans sa bouche pour ne pas multiplier les trajets. Une becquée peut comporter une vingtaine d'insectes. Malgré tout, les allers-retours des parents peuvent se répéter près de 400 fois par jour....
Quel beau moment , j'ai vécu silencieusement ...le hasard fait parfois bien les choses ...Et comme la Nature est belle

Il terzo giorno a Bridgetown, di primo mattino, arriva un taxi dell'agenzia d'appoggio alla nave e mi conduce al porto. zona banchine per navi da crociera. La vedo ed è amore a prima vista, gran voglia di scattarle subito una foto, ma sarebbe indelicato, così salgo a bordo, mi presento al Primo Ufficiale che dovrò sostituire e disbrigo tutte le pratiche, prendendo anche conoscenza della nave che non conoscevo (mia prima volta a bordo di un veliero) Solo verso il tramonto mi prendo 5 minuti per scendere a terra e immortalarla. I velieri sono più belli in mare aperto, con le vele spiegate e gonfie di vento. Ormeggiate in banchina, come anche ancorate in rada, le vele sono raccolte e quasi invisibili. Ma io la guardo e il cuore mi batte più forte
On the third day in Bridgetown, early in the morning, a person from the ship's support agency arrives and takes me to the port. dock area for cruise ships. Sailing ships are more beautiful in the open sea, with their sails unfurled and billowing in the wind. Moored at the quay, as well as anchored in the harbor, the sails are gathered up and almost invisible. But I look at her and my heart beats faster

Une Eurodual de CargoNet capturée entre Otta et Sjoa, sur la ligne de Dovre. Cette imposante locomotive se trouve en tête du train 5734 Trondheim S - Alnabru. En queue de celui-ci se trouve un wagon fermé des chemins de fer slovaques ŽSSK. On peut observer la rivière Gudbrandsdalslågen qui coule derrière le convoi.

Bird Overview: The Musk Lorikeet specialises in feeding on the nectar which is produced by flowering eucalypts, and sometimes also from the flowers of banksias and grevilleas. They collect nectar with their brush-shaped tongues. Musk Lorikeets are usually seen feeding in large noisy flocks in the canopy of eucalypts, often associating with other nectar-feeding birds, especially Rainbow Lorikeets and honeyeaters. The movements of Musk Lorikeets are often correlated with the flowering of trees, with birds appearing when the trees are in bloom, and leaving after the flowering has finished.
Identification: The Musk Lorikeet is a medium-sized, sturdy lorikeet, sometimes seen in large flocks when trees are flowering and often in mixed flocks with other parrots and other birds. They are active and noisy. This lorikeet is mostly green, with a yellow patch at the side of the breast. It has a bright red forehead and band through the eye to the ear coverts. The crown is blue, with females having less blue than males. In flight, brown flight feathers and the golden tail are revealed. Flight is fast and direct, with short angular wings and a medium-length, pointed to wedge-shaped tail.
Songs and Calls: The usual contact call is a shrill metallic screech, higher than the Rainbow Lorikeet, in flight and when perched. They constantly chatter when feeding.
Habitat: Musk Lorikeets are found in tall, open, dry forest and woodlands, dominated by eucalypts and are usually found in the canopy. They are also seen in suburban areas, parks and street trees. They roost or loaf in tall trees away from their feeding sites.
Behaviour: Musk Lorikeets are gregarious, often mixing with other parrots when feeding, including Scaly-breasted Lorikeets, Little Lorikeets and Swift Parrots.
Feeding: Musk Lorikeets feed in all levels of the canopy and are very active when foraging. They eat mainly pollen and nectar from eucalypts using their specialised brush-tipped tongues, but also eat seeds, fruits and insects and their larvae.
Breeding: Musk Lorikeets breed in hollow branches and holes in living eucalypts, often near watercourses. The entrance holes are usually very small, so they have to squeeze in. Eggs are laid on a base of chewed or decayed wood. The female incubate the eggs and both parents roost in the hollow at night.
