Partial eclipse of the Sun as seen from Cork, Ireland. 20th March 2015.

These images are from the best clear spell in between periods of cloud. Choosing the right exposure was very tricky for the first part of the eclipse because of variable cloud, while the final 20 minutes were completely lost through overcast.

Canon G12 fitted with a 1.4x telephoto. Shot through Baader aluminised mylar filter.

This is my personal favourite shot from the 2015 total solar eclipse in the UK - the cloud cover was just enough to give me a clear shot!
