We were going up to Minnesota for snap happy fun. After 3 hours driving, I realized I had forgotten the cameras. Well, we had a phone and shot this in Traer, Iowa. We're making a new attempt today. You just don't know disappointment til you do something this stupid.

Smoke was used to provide concealment from simulated enemy forces in order for Marines to maneuver without the risk of exposure.

Or the original title as I just found out by a little help from Google is Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert

I bought this book yesterday and I love it beyond belief even though I've read the 30 first pages.

It's a story about Elizabeth and her path to find the meaning of life. It's story about having the courage to leave behind everything you know(house, job, money, luxury, success) in search of true happiness. The courage to listen to your heart, even though how much it hurts. And above all, it a story of believing.

BELIEVING.

I thought GOD had left long ago.

But reading her words, made me think ten years back in time, and feel how good it felt to Pray to someone if you were sad. To talk to someone, or something. To believe it was all going to work out. To know that you were not alone. NEVER. :'(

And to think at God as something bigger and more open. Think of it as the same/related power that Jehova, Allah, Shiva, Brahma, Vishnu, Zevs, The Universe, The power of Now, The Law of Attraction. It all makes so much more sense to me having the opportunity to believe.

I still support Darwin in his theories though, they makes sense and are pretty logical.

One of a pair of local pigeons that regularly visit a berry-laden tree opposite my house, for a snack - not many berries left now though.

When you take a drive in the country, you just never know what you might turn up. It's why I enjoy driving round aimlessly. On our September trip to Warwick, we came across this rather unusual self service vegetable stall just outside Killarney in Queensland.

Which reminds me, next weekend is peak time for Sunflowers on the Southern Downs round Warwick. They only flower at their best for a brief time and next weekend is predicted to be it. They have apparently become quite a crown puller. It's only two hours from Brisbane folks who live in SE Queensland.

Cedar Waxwing (Bombycilla cedrorum)

After heavy snowfall, tons of birds flocked to a large nearby tree, many of them trying to snack on its frozen seeds. The Cedar Waxwings were the most fun to watch. They would stretch and contort themselves to reach just the right seeds to eat.

622 Chouteau Ave (Route 66) in St. Louis, Missouri. The diner has remained virtually unchanged since it was opened some 60 plus years ago. We were told that it is still run by the same man who began the establishment which is very close to Busch Stadium. It is open 24/7/365 and apparently is often quite busy in spite of it's very small size.
