A Green Heron (Butorides virescens) standing gracefully by the water’s edge, showcasing its distinctive plumage and keen gaze. This small, solitary heron is known for its clever hunting techniques and is often seen in marshes and wetlands.
Another perspective of the bridge by my parents house at sunset. The sky was just starting to darken and I liked how the street lights looked going into the distance.

Just a touch of golden hour light made the rocks come to life. I am certainly drawn to rows of rocks/boulders in the lake. Add some algae or moss and I am all in. Please like and follow if you enjoy my work.

I made a very early morning trip out to this area on the edge of the city back in September. I had spotted these two hoodoos a couple of weeks earlier on my way back home from a visit to the Dewdrop area along Tranquille Criss Creek Road. They caught my attention because they are positioned way down at the toe of a scree slope. This particular area is full of these but the majority are much closer to the bottom of the very steep/near vertical ridge. This is a very beautiful spot because of the geography of this area but also its proximity to the ranches along the South Thompson River. I liked how the recently cut hay field was nicely framed by the hoodoos.

Continuing my almost macro series of photos, I was taking photos in the back garden and I came across this interesting flower. I thought the little red things on the end looked a little bit like mushrooms. When you start to look closely at the things around you, you start to see that some things just look alien.
