Black-headed Sibia
The black-headed sibia (Heterophasia desgodinsi) is a bird species in the family Leiothrichidae. In former times it was often included with the dark-backed sibia in H. melanoleuca. Together with most other sibias, it is sometimes separated in the genus Malacias.
It is found in China, Laos and Vietnam. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.

Two absolute cuties shot at Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary
These cubs were severely injured by a porcupine, and were stranded from their mother. Thankfully, the forest department moved in and took adequate care of them.
We had this sighting for over an hour as one of them couldn't even walk and the other could just barely.

Once again I venture into the Yenkathala/ Enkathala grasslands, home to as many as 191 bird & numerous wildlife species like the Indian Grey Mongoose. In winter these spectacular grasslands host some beautiful migrants - the Montagu’s & Pallid Harriers - which fly from Russia and Eastern Asian countries traveling over 5,000 kilometers to winter here in the dry sub-humid type of grasslands. I descended down into a gully off of the Tobiano Development to gain a better vantage point for the beautiful light and storm clouds that enveloped Kamloops on Wednesday evening. It was well worth that short hike into the gully.

The Sadr Region is one of the surrounding nebulous regions; others include the Butterfly Nebula (middle) and the Crescent Nebula (upper right corner). It contains many dark nebulae in addition to the emission diffuse nebulae.

The coal tit, is a small, active passerine bird in the tit family, Paridae. A widespread and common resident breeder in forests throughout the temperate to subtropical Palearctic, including North Africa. They have a dazzling geographic variation and inhabit coniferous and mixed woodland, forest, parks, and gardens. They visit bird feeders and are associated with foothills and montane areas throughout much of its eastern range. They often join mixed-species flocks in autumn and winter, moving quickly through the foliage and giving high-pitched calls.

The ashy-crowned sparrow-lark is a small sparrow-sized member of the lark family found on the plains in open land with bare ground, grass and scrub across South Asia. A small, stocky bird with a heavy, finch-like bill. The males have a gray head that contrasts with a black eye-stripe & black on the collar, throat, and underparts. The females are pale brown with weak streaks on the head, back, and underparts. Similar to the Black-crowned Sparrow-Lark, but the Ashy-crowned males are told apart by the gray on the head.

Seal entangled in fishing gear, Horsey, Norfolk. As far as I am aware, this Seal was rescued and released after making a recovery.
The lapwing's alternative name, peewit, mimics its distinctive, two-syllable call. It is known by similarly onomatopoeic names in other European languages: Kiebitz (German), Vipe (Norwegian), Priba (Slovenian), Vivak (Croatian).
