The Collared Kingfisher (Todiramphus chloris) is a medium-sized kingfisher belonging to the subfamily Halcyoninae, the tree kingfishers. It is also known as the white-collared kingfisher, black-masked kingfisher or mangrove kingfisher. It has a wide range extending from the Red Sea across southern Asia to Polynesia.

The Termite Hill Gecko (Hemidactylus triedrus) also known as Dakota's Leaf-toed Gecko, or Blotched House Gecko, is a species of gecko found in South Asia. It is a large lizard and grows to a maximum of about 7 inches from tip of snout to tail tip. This is also a gecko with black and white dots forming bands making it look very handsome; this and the larger size make it easy to identify. The large head is also quite characteristic.

The Endangered Indian Skimmer or Indian Scissors-bill (Rynchops albicollis) is one of the three species that belong to the skimmer genus Rynchops in the family Laridae. An unmistakable bird - black above and white below with a bright orange bill (the lower mandible is longer than the upper). It favors slow-moving rivers with sandbars, on which it forms noisy colonies, often in association with terns.

Two absolute cuties shot at Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary

These cubs were severely injured by a porcupine, and were stranded from their mother. Thankfully, the forest department moved in and took adequate care of them.

We had this sighting for over an hour as one of them couldn't even walk and the other could just barely.
