Click. I feel tired and this is bad but I had no time. Oh, that's not me.
And now here we are and it's been a long time; but the difference is that our worlds have changed.
I feel like I'm on the constant brink of free falling any second, plunging through the air with eyes tightly shut. As each day passes more distance accumulates between both of us on the roads we are on. I occasionally wish I had gone along on the same road.. but that feeling doesn't last for long. Because you're agreeable to be chained to the ground, but I need to be free in the skies. Because where you're going, dreams shatter as easily as broken glass bottles on the street. Because you're content to surround yourself with the past, but I want to leave it all behind.
+all images used in this are mine.

We are like sculptors, constantly carving out of others the image we long for, need, love or desire, often against reality, against their benefit, and always, in the end, a disappointment, because it does not fit them'.

Life on the streets of Vancouver BC includes a variety of sidewalk sleepers. With the coming winter rains he would not be comfortable napping here. This boy was spotted on Davie at Burrard Street.
Because I know your first question is "Who's she wearing?"
Not sure what's in her hand. It looks like a cellphone, but the lower surface looks three dimensional.
One of four kittens born about a week ago to the local neighbourhood cat. We'd been discussing about get her 'fixed' and adopting her when we realized that was too late. Now the "furbabies" are here.

It was time to return to the ship docked in Labadee. The day had been a hot one so hot that my camera's lens was fogged up for good near an hour. Walking back to the ship I saw two things that caught my eye. First was someone's straw hat being picked up and carried into the ocean by the wind to float tauntingly way out of reach. Second was the young lady you see now uninterested in the dancers or the music playing, just enjoying one moment of relief from sun and humidity.
Week One.
This is the start of a new (& slightly scary) project.
After a bit of gentle coaxing from Nathalie Donado
, I've decided to start the new year with a 52 week self-portraiture project. Each week I'll be shooting and sharing a new self portrait for the whole of 2014. I'm far from comfortable with self portraiture and I'm certainly not particularly skilled at it, so I'm hoping that this series will be a way to improve and to have a bit of fun at the same time :] Once a month, Nathalie (who is also doing a 52 week project ) & I will pick a theme and challenge each other to shoot our selfie as a kind of overseas collab. We're also toying with the idea of opening the themes up for you guys to shoot & share your own versions too so do let us know whether any of you might fancy that! I might not post all of the photos onto flickr, so if you're keen to follow this little adventure do follow my facebook page!
So without further ado, here is week one!
