Celebrate! Palm Beach State College broke ground on 1/11/11 for the new classroom building that will house the bachelor's degree programs and the Dr. Floyd F. Koch Honors College. The building is expected to open in 2012.
Few places have ever shattered my expectations like Nicaragua. From some of the Caribbean's most stunning island paradises to laid-back colonial towns, thick, mysterious jungles and bustling metro centers, Nicaragua offers a taste of something exciting for everyone.

The elderly Lady of The Manor
Sits every afternoon with her bottle of amber wine,
and two empty glasses.Waiting for her lover to return from a War that no longer exists, but only in history.
This old woman,
will fall asleep one late afternoon,
with her flowers and her two empty wine glasses.
And finally then shall she to be back with her lover,
who went away so long ago..
Walking hand in hand into The Light.
The remains of a dinner where fewer came than expected, and we over-planned our courses. Traditional Thanksgiving dinner of turkey, gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, carrots, corn, peas, cranberry sauce (both kinds), ... and root beer.

Press Conference on Expectations for 2018 -- The Year to Step Up on Climate Change
Senior representatives from Climate Action Network, World Resources Institute, We Mean Business and Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy hosted a joint press conference at COP23 on Tuesday, 14 November, 2017 to set expectations for 2018, a critical year when countries need to signal that they will ramp up their climate efforts and put the world on track to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement.
