The XDL Sportbike Freestyle Championship started as a test event in 2005. At the time we combined drifting with stunt riding to see what kind of entertainment we could create. The experiment didn’t work out so well, but we realized there was a lot of potential with the sport bikes by themselves, if we created a series. We started the XDL series in 2006 with 3 events. We went to four in 2007, and in 2008 XDL became a 6 event points series. It is a championship just like AMA Superbike now. Our big distinction is that XDL caters to the new audience of urban sport bike riders. It is the fastest growing part of the motorcycle market and one that looks like it'll keep expanding for at least 10 years. Our competitions generally take place inside cities, as compared to traditional road racing, which takes place on a race track in the sticks. As an example, we run an event with Moto GP at Indy where we block off a street downtown. And the XDL Finals are in Long Beach, right in front of the Queen Mary. So XDL is making a new sport very easily accessible to fans.

STOP ISRAEL BARBARITY

We are not stupid!

NEW CHAPTER, MY FRIENDS (30.06.2010): After removing my website link (more than 1,000), I´ve just received the same message and I´m out of the search lists again. Or this has relation with the message above or has no sense...

I´m not allowed by Flickr to link my personal website.... amazing....! After so many years... Maybe it´s a consequence of the Israel message, I don´t want to think bad, but I don´t believe in coincidences, moreover when lots of user are allowed to. If I continue here is because the great number of friends I´ve meet, but I´m taking advantage of this in order to complain and let you see the kind of injustice that Flickr is doing these days. Let´s see who can be more annoying...

Please visit my profile

This is the kind of things that flickr has to take care of (THIEVES):

Where is it said that personal websites are not allowed? I do not do a commercial use of it!!! I´m a economist and work in a saving bank!!

TRUE THANKS TO ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT, MY FRIENDS. IT´S WHAT MAKES ME THINK TO CONTINUE HERE

So first of all sorry, I didn’t post this sooner. (School) now about the build.

I really enjoyed the grain technique from Kursk v1, but I felt like the scene was missing an element of carnage. It was the biggest tank battle in history after all. The t 34 is Brickmania. I had the instructions from a book and was like why not go all Brickmania Tanks figs everything. I was also inspired to add onto this scene after watching a really cool video about anti tank tactics on the eastern front www.youtube.com/watch?v=FxJZJflMEiw One of these tactics included climbing on the back of the tank, opening the engine compartment with a hatchet and throwing a grenade into the engine compartment.

Construction criticism appreciated.

One of Riga's architectural treasures, the House of Blackheads was erected in 1344, but was embellished and expanded in the 16th, 17th and 19th centuries. It was destroyed in 1941 and its ruins were completely demolished by the Soviets in 1948, but it finally rose from the ashes in the late 1990s in keeping with the medieval saying above its entrance that states 'if I should fall, build me again'.

A striking Gothic building with a Dutch Renaissance facade, it was used to house single members of the merchants' guild who were also notorious revellers of their day. It's even rumoured that their parties and feasts were often attended by royalty in disguise.

The ice shelves along the western shore of Lake Michigan seem to be growing day by day. They are interesting to look at, but very dangerous to explore. They will extend far out into the lake and, if a climber falls through a crack, rescue is practically impossible. It would be like being trapped in an ice cave.

One of Wawel's two artillery towers, Sandomierska Tower was built around 1460 to defend the castle against attack from the south. A small chamber on the third floor would have served as either a guard's lodging or a prison for nobles, whereas common criminals were held in the dungeons.

The Wawel Royal Castle is a castle residency located in central Kraków, Poland, and the first UNESCO World Heritage Site in the world. Built at the behest of King Casimir III the Great, it consists of a number of structures from different periods situated around the Italian-styled main courtyard. Wikipedia

The castle is part of a fortified architectural complex erected atop a limestone outcrop on the left bank of the Vistula River, at an altitude of 228 metres above sea level. The complex consists of numerous buildings of great historical and national importance, including the Wawel Cathedral where Polish monarchs were crowned and buried. Some of Wawel's oldest stone buildings can be traced back to 970 AD, in addition to the earliest examples of Romanesque and Gothic architecture in Poland.[5][6] The current castle was built in the 14th-century, and expanded over the next hundreds of years. In 1978 Wawel was declared the first World Heritage Site as part of the Historic Centre of Kraków.

For centuries the residence of the kings of Poland and the symbol of Polish statehood, Wawel Castle is now one of the country's premier art museums. Established in 1930, the museum encompasses ten curatorial departments responsible for collections of paintings, including an important collection of Italian Renaissance paintings, prints, sculpture, textiles, among them the Sigismund II Augustus tapestry collection, goldsmith's work, arms and armor, ceramics, Meissen porcelain, and period furniture. The museum's holdings in oriental art include the largest collection of Ottoman tents in Europe. With seven specialized conservation studios, the museum is also an important center for the conservation of works of art.

The noise of the volcano and it's power as the lava flows in to the ocean is phenominal. A completely unstoppable force of nature and I can't believe I was lucky enough to have the chance to photograph it. It was, however, a shame that the experience was somewhat ruined by inconsiderate tourists with no respect for other people or the volcano.

You can watch my YouTube Video and see the entire 'behind the scenes' shoot. Warts and all.

The camp was just what Perrin expected. The Tinker wagons were small houses on wheels, tall wooden boxes lacquered and painted in bright colors, reds and blues and yellows and greens and some hues to which he could not put a name. The Traveling People's clothes were even more colorful than the wagons - and seemingly chosen at random. The Tuatha'an sang and danced, cooked and ate around their campfires. The children ran and played everywhere, hideandseek among the wagons, climbing in the trees around the camp, laughing and rolling on the ground with the dogs. Not a care in the world, for anyone.

---

"I have heard a story since last we met, and if you have not heard it yet, it might interest you." Raen said.

"I'll listen," Elyas replied.

"It begins in the spring two years ago, with a band of the People who were crossing the Waste. A dying Aiel woman crawled to the wagons. She seized the Seeker of that band by his coat, and this is what she said, word for word. 'Leafblighter means to blind the Eye of the World, Lost One. He means to slay the Great Serpent. Warn the People, Lost One. Sightburner comes. Tell them to stand ready for He Who Comes With the Dawn. Tell them ...' And then she died. Leafblighter and Sightburner," Raen added to Perrin, "are Aiel names for the Dark One."

"Something they learned in the Blight," Elyas mused. "But none of it makes sense. Slay the Great Serpent? Kill time itself? And blind the Eye of the World?"

Perrin tried puzzling out the Aiel woman's message, but it made no more sense to him than it had to Raen or Elyas. The silence around the campfire was broken only by the music and laughter drifting from other parts of the nightshrouded camp.
