It was declared a National Historic monument.
It was a property of Juan Narbona who exploited it like limekiln.
In the year 1738 there was constructed an oratory and a chapel that were the only ones between Montevideo and Villa Soriano
The Estancia de Narbona, (Narbona’s Farm), built by Don Juan de Narbona in 1732, is an archeological relic. Its Chapel and Oratory were the only ones that existed at those times between Montevideo and Villa Soriano. They were related to the Camacho family, and they are near the Camacho Bridge, surrounded by a beautiful park.

The hyenas had come to the waterhole early as there had been a kill during the night. The vultures had already arrived and soon there would not be much left. It is amazing the wonderful ckean=up crew that exists to keep our world in order. The hyenas work well together and are often seen in large groups. They are very family oriented and all help each other. Awesome to learn about this fascinating animal !
Wishing you a beautiful and blessed day !!!
Love exist in many colors in endless ways.
Love can be fragile, delicate as an orchid.
Love can be strong, tough as Steel
But one thing is certain, if it is true,
certainly survive everything...
certamente sobreviverá a tudo ...
I exist as i am
that is enough
one more from this awesome night ,cant wait for more ,please it must be soon :)
Today is April 24, 2022. It was 40 years ago today that the first New York Susquehanna & Western freight, BH1, made it's debut on the Syracuse branch creeping along at 10mph with three hopper cars for Tully Agway. The line had been out of Conrail's hands for a week, but repairs were needed on the south end of the railroad in order for deliveries to proceed. This almost didn't happen. At one time, Conrail was, "this close" to tearing up the rails on the south end. Good thing they didn't. Once NYS&W got a hold of the rest of the railroad north of Jamesville, NY, (Conrail held the large stone business there), a transition would take place. The once or twice per week trains would begin to increase. A sort of commuter passenger service would start in Syracuse, and this branch line would become part of route for several double stack train moves every week. The business grew and in years the BH1 would become longer. A portion of the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western's Cincinnatus Branch would be rebilt to serve a new customer. Much of the lines stick rail would become welded 136lb. CL1, CL2, SY1 would be jobs added to help the BH1. Although the stack trains are gone, this saved from death rail line is now probably the most important territory of the Susie-Q. 40 years. It really is amazing that a little short line railroad had held title longer than most railroads of today have even existed!
So as we see John Treen pilot his GP18 north at Blogett Mills, NY, just what was hr thinking as he looked at the rails ahead? Surely it couldn't have been what I described above, could it?

of all i see
of all i was
of all i could be
the moment
the instant
i spent with you
made me
understand
this is who i am
and this is
this is where
i shall stand
waiting
for years to pass
for time to move
waiting
until i can see you
by birth
i am selected
by fate
i am sealed
breathing
feeling
nothing
nothing
until
until i can see you.

Salmo 86:15
“Magic exists. Who can doubt it, when there are rainbows and wildflowers, the music of the wind and the silence of the stars? Anyone who has loved has been touched by magic. It is such a simple and such an extraordinary part of the lives we live.” -Nora Roberts
The world is indeed full of magical things, most of which (in my opinion) are in nature. This is one of my favorite bandanas because it sports several things I find magical. The crunch of a pine cone, sitting by a crackling campfire, mountains, stars, and wildlife are a few of the things that enchant me.
Notebook from Compendium, bandana from Bandits Bandanas.
A corn mill has existed on this site since the 12th Century though the present building is 18th Century and constructed of locally quarried limestone. (Alport derives its name from the Portway, an ancient way through the Peak District). Grade II listed, the mill ceased operation in the 1960s though much of the 19th century equipment and fixtures remain intact within the building. Owned by the Haddon Hall Estate the mill is now partly used as a trout farm.

I live in a very violent city. It is in proportion to the number of inhabitants the fifth in the world in homicides. Among other reasons for this highlights the huge economic imbalance. This also means it is very dangerous to go to certain areas of the city, mainly carrying valuables such as cameras, for example. One of these regions is a slum that exists in one of the shores of Mundaú Lagoon and is inhabited mainly by people who make a living from fish and seafood that can remove the lagoon. Long ago that I wanted, but also fear, to go take pictures there. Today the courage came and made a few pictures of the people there.

The dark misery exists in me
spreading itself throughout my body
Hot anger covers me like a cloud
One that seem to downpour
But only upon me...no one else
So many faces pass me by
...but do they care
Shadowed faces, darkened people,
Walking quietly beside their own fears
...Seems to distract them
No longer do I seek dreamland
...it was overtaken
Nightmares rein when time is found
...to sleep in this hell
Fools laugh at what they cannot see
That which they cannot know
They think only with their lips
...how little they know
Blinded by the light of lies
I stand lost in this maze of eternal darkness
All around me souls lie buried or missing
God to rest in peace even with one eye open
I could pretend to hide from the fears
...the ones I created

A light exists in spring
Not present on the year
At any other period.
When March is scarcely here
A color stands abroad
On solitary hills
That science cannot overtake,
But human naturefeels.
It waits upon the lawn;
It shows the furthest tree
Upon the furthest slope we know;
It almost speaks to me.
Then, as horizons step,
Or noons report away,
Without the formula of sound,
It passes, and we stay:
A quality of loss
Affecting our content,
As trade had suddenly encroached
Upon a sacrament.

St.Peter`s Church in Malmö
Was probably founded at the beginning of the 14th century.Although no documents bearing this out exist tuday,we do know that when the Chorch was first mentioned in 1346 it had alredy been consecrated for divine worship. It was dedicated to St.Peter and St.Paul.
St.Peter`s Church has a triple-aisled nave with transept and ambulatory. All of it is built in the so called Baltic Gotihic style. Its closest prototype would appear to be St.Mary`s Church at Lubeck. The exterior of the Church is distinguished by its flying buttresses and elegant arches soaring over aisle and ambulatory alike. The tower was given its present apperarance in 1890.Grouped around the main building are several additional erections. To the north of the tower lies the Baptistery or Merchant`s chapel (Krämarekapellet),beloning to the 15th century. To the south lies St.Anna`s chapel, built around 1500 and dedicated to the mother of the blessed Virgin
St.Perer`s Church in Malmö Sweden
The interior of the Church remains mainly in accordance with its orginal plan, including elegantly shaped pillars and arches. The rich frescoes that covered the vault during the middle ages were hidden from the eye in the year 1555 when the entire edifice was whitewashed.During a restoration carried out in the 1850,all traces of the former frescoes were scraped away.

You believe that reality is something objective, external, existing in its own right. You also believe that the nature of reality is self-evident. When you delude yourself into thinking that you see something, you assume that everyone else sees the same thing as you. But I tell you, Winston, that reality exists in the human mind, and nowhere else.
george orwell 1984

The Panama Canal Railway has operated passenger service in its current iteration since the rebuilding of the PCRC in 1998. At the time, the company ran these passenger trains from Panama City to Colon 5 days a week, Monday thru Friday, leaving Panama City at 0700, and leaving Colon City at 1700. These trains were generally aimed at wealthy commuters traveling to the port and Free Trading Zone in Colon.
During the Covid years, operations scaled back, at one point temporarily suspending service before bringing it back, but with a truncated consist of passenger cars, and the mothballing of the Rio Chagres dome car outside cruise ship season.
In April 2025, CPKC and Mi-Jack sold the railway to APM Terminals, a Maersk subsidiary. Since the sale, passenger operations scaled way back to once a week on Saturday's, however they make two round trips a day, one in the morning, one around noon. In addition, they brought back the dome car to regular service. It's clear this is now aimed at tourists instead of commuters. Its great so see a classic passenger train consist still alive months after the sale.

This no longer exists, it is now the site of condominiums, built in 2016, shortly after this picture was taken.
"During the height of their success, there were two Apperson (auto) plants in Kokomo. The south plant was built just south of Wildcat Creek between Main and Union street. After the Apperson company failed, the south plant was used as a warehouse for years, most recently by Northern Indiana Supply Company and DeLong Auto Parts. When NISCO closed, much of the building was left empty and began to deteriorate.
In late 2014, an Indianapolis company announced plans to redevelop the south plant buildings as a luxury apartment community. Initial reports indicated that they would retain much of the original structure, but later decisions led to its complete demolition. Bricks from the original structure were salvaged and will become part of the new development.
Plans for the apartments fit a dynamic new vision for the heart of the city, but, bricks or no bricks, the essence of the place and the last vestige of a pioneering automaker are irretrievably gone."

The old viaduct at Meldon, Okehampton, once carried British Rail services to Penzance without the erosion problems of the coastal line. It is now the end of the line for the Dartmoor Railway and only carries the Granite Way cycle path and pedestrians. It is an superb example of ironwork engineering and was built in 1871 to carry the London and South Western Railway (LSWR). It is equally impressive from below. The green is not paintwork but algae and is picked particularly vividly by the flash.

You traveled a long way to find out if the Bloodcroft Family still existed. You traveled up the winding rock path towards their door and it was then, as the clouds seemed to close in around the top of the castle, you realized your curiosity was going to kill you....or leave you undead for eternity.
The Bloodcroft Castle gacha is available now at the DRD Mainstore and features custom coffin poses by RK Poses along with everything you need for your long bloody reign.

The Red Rock Ranch in the Beach Mountains, two miles north of Van Horn, is one of the only public tours offered on private land in West Texas. Some of the rocks on the ranch are more than a billion years old, among the oldest in Texas.
The Pre-Cambrian sandstone outcropping found at Red Rock is one of only four natural Precambrian sandstone exposures in the Western Hemisphere. Who knew something like this existed in West Texas let alone Van Horn. And with that, you might even be asking yourself where in the world is Van Horn? The easy answer is Van Horn is right near Sierra Blanca, which you will not know either. If you travel Interstate 10, however, you would have no choice except to pass through Van Horn either on your way to or from El Paso.
Back to the fascinating Red Rock Ranch, which is home to Darice McVay. If we are to believe her, a host of imaginary friends dot the wide expanse landscape. “Imagination can be as creative as one wishes,” according to ranch owner Darice McVay. “E. T. under a camel’s chin, Donald Duck or Puff the Magic Dragon, an Indian satellite dish and Red Rock Ranch’s very own Easter Island rock” are all rock formations created by wind erosion over millions of years. If you dive into the stories with Darice, you'll not only chuckle but also be mesmerized by the natural beauty that will surround you.
Many of these formations are naturally balanced, as if a sculptor has worked magic.
