Foto: Hilbesheim es un pequeño pueblo del noreste de Francia (Lorena) y ésta es su iglesia de estilo barroco con su campanario redondo romano del siglo XII y su viejo cementerio.
A set of gardens and orchards have existed in this area since at least the 10th century when Abd ar-Rahman III constructed an aqueduct to bring water from the nearby Albolafia waterwheel (or noria). The gardens have been neglected or renewed at various times since then. In the late 15th century or at the beginning of the 16th century Queen Isabella I ordered the waterwheel's operation to be halted, and they went into a general decline. The current gardens date from a major remodeling around the mid-20th century, while at the same time the area of gardens was reduced in size due to the construction of the Avenue del Alcázar road on its southeast side.
Today the gardens consist of an impressive area of approximately 55,000m² of magnificent gardens with forest species including palm, cypress, orange and lemon trees, which surround a number of elegant fountains and ponds. The gardens are structured on three levels: the Higher Garden, the Middle Garden and the Lower Garden. The Higher Garden occupies a space between the Tower of the Lions and the Royal Stables (Caballerizas Reales). The Middle Garden is located on its southeast side and stretches along the castle wall that separates the gardens from the Courtyard of the Moriscos. It is reached from a grand staircase and includes two large pools. The Lower Garden occupies a much larger area to the southeast, including three elongated pools lined with flowers and trees and other manicured gardens beyond. The Lower Garden also includes the King's Avenue or Promenade of Kings (Paseo de los Reyes), an avenue bordered by lines of cylindrical cypress trees and divided into two paths by two narrow ponds. On this walk, there are several sculptures of the kings who built the Alcázar, which are located on pedestals aligned between the hedges. One sculpture represents Christopher Columbus with Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand, commemorating Columbus's first meeting with the Catholic Monarchs which took place in the Alcázar.

Le zèbre des plaines est présent dans la moitié sud de l’Afrique, où il fréquente les savanes et autres milieux ouverts. L'espèce vit en groupes composés d’un mâle reproducteur avec quelques femelles et leurs petits. On appelle cette structure un « harem ». Il existe en parallèle des groupes de mâles célibataires.
De nombreuses hypothèses ont été émises pour expliquer l’utilité des rayures des zèbres : identification des individus, camouflage, perturbation des prédateurs, thermorégulation… L’explication principale retenue par la communauté scientifique est finalement que les rayures des zèbres repoussent les insectes piqueurs comme les taons ou la mouche tsé-tsé. Ceux-ci pouvant transmettre des maladies, diminuer les risques d’être piqués est un avantage conséquent.

Le dundee original a été construit en 1938 au chantier naval Gourmelon de Camaret-sur-Mer pour le patron Auguste Kergroac'h. Il allait mouiller ses casiers sur les côtes anglaises, puis au Portugal et au Maroc.
Il fut désarmé en 1962 ; il était le dernier dundee langoustier à avoir été construit et était aussi le dernier en activité de pêche. Il agonise depuis lors comme épave sur la grêve du Styvel et sa condition de monument classé l'a préservé de la destruction[3]. Déclassée en 2002 du fait de son important état de dégradation, il n'existe plus aucun vestige du bateau original dans le port de Camaret.
La Belle-Étoile a été reconstruite à l'identique dans le chantier naval d'Albert Péron en 1992. Comme le lougre Corentin, il a été réalisé pour le concours « Bateaux du patrimoine des côtes de France » organisé par le magazine Chasse-Marée pour le rassemblement de gréements traditionnels de Brest 1992.
Présent à toutes les fêtes maritimes, aux côtés d'autres bateaux répliques de gréements traditionnels, la Belle-Étoile représente le port de Camaret et la presqu'île de Crozon.
Munie de plusieurs cabines passagers, la Belle-Étoile offre la possibilité de croisières traditionnelles vers les îles de la mer d'Iroise (Ouessant, Molène, etc.) et pour la pêche au thon dans le golfe de Gascogne.
Belle-Étoile a participé à des éditions des fêtes maritimes de Brest : Brest 2004, Brest 2008, Les Tonnerres de Brest 2012 et Temps Fête Douarnenez 2018.

Cette charmante maison au toit de chaume se dresse au Egeskov Gade 24, au cœur des jardins du château Egeskov slot situé au Egeskov Gade18, Kværndrup, île de Fionie au Danemark. En 2016, elle abritait la Galerie d'art Ahlefeldt.
Le château d’Egeskov est reconnu en Europe comme le mieux préservé des châteaux Renaissance bâtis sur une île. Mais ce sont les jardins privés du domaine de 15 ha, créés au 18e siècle et entourant le château, qui constitue son joyau. On peut y admirer la plus grande collection de fushias d'Europe. Un labyrinthe en bambou de construction récente, recrée celui qui existait au 18e siècle et qui dit-on était le plus grand d'Europe et dont la création aurait précédé celle de Hampton Court.
Les jardins ont évolué grandement au fil des ans mais le plan date de 1730 lorsque Niels Krag conçut le jardin à la française qui en 1962 fut remplacé par le jardin actuel de style Renaissance par le français Ferdinant Duprat avec ses topiaires en forme de pyramide et de spirales. Un pont-levis datant de la fin du 19e siècle relie le château à une superbe avant-cour où errent des paons blancs. On découvre au-delà une partie des 750 ha de terres cultivées qui font depuis longtemps la fortune d'Egeskov.
GUIMARÃES (Portugal): Zona de Couros.
Em Guimarães, a Indústria dos Curtumes, que remonta à Idade Média, desenvolveu-se com sucesso até meados do séc. XX, fazendo da cidade uma referência nacional no setor. No séc. XIX, a atualmente designada Zona de Couros foi um núcleo privilegiado da indústria de transformação de peles, onde se manteve uma produção baseada nas técnicas tradicionais e no trabalho manual. Ainda que pouco significativas, as primeiras tentativas de inovação e modernização dos processos de produção surgiram apenas nos inícios do séc. XX, fazendo com que esta indústria se mantivesse ativa até meados do século. Em julho de 1977, a Zona de Couros é classificada como Imóvel de Interesse Público, no que constituiu a primeira iniciativa legislativa do género realizada em Portugal em torno da arqueologia industrial. Esta classificação vem reconhecer a importância da atividade e contribuir para a preservação dos vestígios desta indústria local. Na Zona de Couros, existem diversos edifícios que foram construídos para a instalação de fábricas destinadas à transformação das peles em couros, com os seus típicos secadouros e tanques de tinturaria.

They inhabit lakes, bays, rivers and marshes. They often feed in open grasslands and stubble fields.
They range from Alaska each to Baffin Island and south to California, Illinoise and Massachusetts. They winter south to northern Mexico and the Gulf Coast. Widespread as a semi-domesticated bird in city parks and on reservoirs.

Il existe à Riom trois fontaines honorant la mémoire du général Louis Charles Antoine Desaix né à Ayat en Auvergne. L’une est située au Pré-Madame, la vaste promenade aménagée au cours des XVIIème et XVIIIème siècle. La seconde a été installée au centre de la Place J.B.Laurent. Un programme d’embellissement de Paris est décidé par le Consulat, en 1800 une souscription est lancée pour financer la réalisation d’une fontaine et d’un monument sur la Place Dauphine (appelée à cette période Place de Thionville) à la gloire du Général Desaix mort au champ d’honneur. Charles Percier architecte néoclassique est sollicité pour cette réalisation, la décoration en est confiée à Augustin Félix Fortin. Le 12 septembre 1801, Emmanuel Pastoret, au nom de l’assemblée générale des souscripteurs pose la première pierre. Le 14 juin 1803 le Premier Consul inaugure le monument, cette date correspond au 25 prairial de l’an XI, date anniversaire de la bataille de Marengo durant laquelle Desaix est tombé. A l’origine le monument se composait d’un bassin rond au centre duquel s’élevait une colonne en marbre supportant un groupe sculpté représentant la France, sous les traits d’une guerrière vêtue à l’antique et casquée. Sur la surface du pylône diverses devises étaient gravées, à mi hauteur plus bas quatre mascarons de bronze déversaient un jet d’eau dans le bassin. En 1874 la fontaine était en très mauvais état, à l’occasion de la restructuration de la Place Dauphine, elle fut démontée, mais devait être reconstruite à la fin des travaux. Lors de son démantèlement apparurent des difficultés tant techniques que financières, elles furent à l’origine de sa relégation dans les réserves de la Ville de Paris.
Etienne Clémentel Maire de Riom de 1904 à 1936 est à l’origine du transfert de cette fontaine dans sa ville. L’inauguration du monument et celle de la Place J.B. Laurent (personne qui avait participé financièrement au transport) furent le 22 juillet 1906 l’occasion de grandes cérémonies. La dite Place est située au débouché de la Porte de Clermont dont les tours de défense ont été remplacées par des pilastres, amortis en boule. En 1992, lors de la restauration par D.Sandrin, le socle de la colonne a été modifié et les petites têtes de lions en bronze qui crachaient l’eau ont disparu, le bassin a été remanié. La pile porte toujours à mi hauteur, sous la couronne entourant le nom de Desaix la gravure :

One boat-tailed grackle "moved in" to the sea oat stalk next door to another grackle and its stalk. Almost immediately, property lines became points of contention and the two neighbors simply couldn't co-exist is such proximity. This dune ain't big enough for the both of 'em.
The pretty little village of Wiveton is situated in the north of Norfolk, southwest of Cley-next-the-Sea. The parish has a long history and was established by the time of the Norman Conquest. It is detailed in the Domesday Book of 1086. As is the case with so many English villages the church is now the oldest building remaining.
The Church of St Mary has a 14th century tower and chancel, but pieces of reused stonework suggest an earlier church existed. The nave, aisles and porches date to the mid to late 15th century, and further restorations were carried out during the 17th to 19th centuries.

Se cree que aquí habitaron los cántabros orgenomescos. Se ha identificado San Vicente con el Portus Vereasueca de los romanos.Los primeros datos históricos conocidos de la Muy Noble y Muy Leal Villa de San Vicente de la Barquera, se sitúan en la época romana en la que, según parece los orgenomescos, tribu de cántabros, utilizó como salida al mar el puerto de San Vicente.
Alfonso I el Católico (S.VIII) repobló y fortificó la villa que consiguió un notable desarrollo gracias a los privilegios conseguidos por medio de los Fueros, otorgados por Alfonso VIII (año 1210). La historia marinera de San Vicente va paralela con la de las famosas Cuatro Villas de la Costa, a las que pertenecía, destacando entre sus gestas la participación en la reconquista de Sevilla o las expediciones a Terranova para la pesca del bacalao.
La visita del que fuera emperador Carlos I en el año 1517 y las crónicas existentes sobre las fiestas con que fue agasajado y las descripciones de la villa en esa época constituye uno de los momentos de mayor esplendor y orgullo de los barquereños.

Existen testimonios documentales de la existencia del ingenio desde finales del siglo XVIII, pensado como sistema de regadío en la finca de La Montaña, zona bañada por los ríos Tajo y Jarama. Gracias a estos ríos y a un sistema de canales, caces y acequias, se han podido regar las históricas huertas de Aranjuez y realizar los ingenios de agua del Palacio Real de Aranjuez. La Azuda de la Montaña estaba formado por el canal Caz del Embocador, el visible acueducto monumental de ladrillo formado por doce ojos de medio punto y 87 metros, y una gran noria de madera.
En 1844 la rueda fue sustituida por otra de hierro debido a su mal estado de conservación. Dejó de funcionar en 1927 tras la introducción del riego a motor. Abandonado, fue rehabilitado en 20132 gracias a un acuerdo entre el Ayuntamiento de Aranjuez y la Confederación Hidrográfica del Tajo. Esta recuperación permitió no sólo su musealización, también que continuara su funcionamiento como método de regadío tradicional, dando uso al parque-jardín en el que se encuentra,3 recuperando el paisaje cultural que representa. El entorno también ha sido recuperado con diversos juegos hidráulicos y jardines.
