Evoking memories of the Southern Aurora that once ran on this line, 4464 and 4473 work hard as they lead Lachlan Valley Railway's Rivierina tour up the 1 in 39 to 1 in 49 grade as they climb towards Cunnigar in southern NSW on 6th March.
It's funny, but many times I feel clueless as to how to describe the feelings and memories I have about an image I am uploading… the words are just not enough for some of those shots for the awesome, totally rad and rocking memories they evoke in me… Here’s a good example - there I was standing by Torres Del Paine, battered by winds, barely standing on my feet, holding my balance and feeling as if I was on the top of the world ;-)))… this is by far not the best image one will find on the Internet of TDP but what the heck, it has so much sentiment for me and I can only add one line – do strive to find the time to travel and explore!! These are the moments when you truly feel alive and living, kicking the ass!! All this fuss and noise is related to my last night purchase of the tix to Lima and in just 7 weeks I’ll be off to exploring one of my longest craved for dream places – Cordillera Huayhuash in Peruvian Andes… I’m to the moon and back stoked and excited!! Cannot contain my feelings of happiness and gratitude for the chance to get to this place!! Happy travels, folks!

No, not that Watchtower. This is the Desert View Watchtower on the south rim of the Grand Canyon, near the east entrance to the park. Built in 1932 the design is intended to evoke a watchtower of the ancient Pueblo peoples. There is a gift shop on the bottom floor, topped by an observation deck. The adjoining tower can be climbed via three flights of stairs.
The views are fantastic.
