Just a simple candid street style snap taken at Canterbury Kent UK. While I was wandering around I saw this guy taking a nap and thought it was worth a shot. Later I noticed the sign so hence the title Essential Nap.

There's roughing it type of camping and there is camping with essentials. I will admit that when it's cold and rainy outside, the latter suits me just fine - as it did here when we were on our way back from Atlantic Canada last month and camped in an oTENTik.

Treasure Hunt #24 / Essential
When all the world appears to be in a tumult, and nature itself is feeling the assault of climate change, the seasons retain their essential rhythm. Yes, fall gives us a premonition of winter, but then, winter, will be forced to relent, once again, to the new beginnings of soft greens, longer light, and the sweet air of spring.

I'm always amazed by how high the stacks of pallets can go. I've seen higher, nobody I know on the street is THAT tall, and any ladder would have been recycled by now. So I wonder "How do they build these things so high?"
Certain things you probably can't answer on the internet. Maybe I should just ask.

Previously unpublished shot from September 2019. This shot remained in my archives all of this time simply because I couldn't decide whether to post the colour or black and white edit. Enjoy!
Had a lovely couple of hours wandering around the gardens at Nymans (National Trust). I was only using a 60mm macro and it was a bit breezy, but the sun was out.

Shot these the other day just for no reason. I left them outside for a bit, yeah, I'm lazy. It started to sprinkle a bit and I decided to reshoot them with all of the droplets. Of course I had to convert to black and white and do some sliding. I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday. HSS

i still haven't found any time to take the new D7000 out for some shots, but last night i caught this image with my iphone.
i was heading home from work on my motorbike when i started to rain. it quickly turned into a downpour and i had to stop near a hardware store because i couldn't even see the road anymore. there was only one car in the parking lot and the lighting was incredible so i opened my jacket, wiped my soaking hands on my sweater and got this shot.
this is confirmation to my belief that the worse the weather is, the better the photography :-)
