New York in the Past

On a cool misty March morning in 1991 a row of empties that supply the peat fired power station await return to the bog in the power station reception sidings.

The power station opened opened in 1950s and was closed and completely demolished in the mid 2000's. Today very little remains to indicate a power station ever stood on the site.

Imagine. You finally get to see New York City and want to take pictures from the top of the Empire State Building and wake up to this.

Damn.

Zuckuss, Boba, IG-88 and Bossk.

I was originally going to make the 5 main BHs, without 4-LOM and Zuckuss. (Ya know, the ones that ACTUALLY appear on screen?) But they didn't look enough, so I added in the two at the last second.

Was fiddling around this morning, and ended up building a collection of microfigs. Super simplistic, nothing special.

ESB under Manhattan Bridge taken from DUMBO

I took a series of shot of the empire state building and in this one it was fairly yellow, the next was mostly blue, and the third had an interesting greenish light from the clouds.

don't forget the rule of thirds

This was the first milled-peat fired power station in Ireland, opening in 1957, closing in 2001. It was served by the 3ft gauge Bord na Mona Boora railway system. This view was taken on 20 June 1977 with Ruston & Hornsby yard shunter LM122 (379923/54) in the foreground.
