Cap celebrating the European Space Agency's (ESA) Envisat, contraction of 'Environmental Satellite.’ A large Earth observation satellite, it was used for environmental research from 2002-2012.
The European Space Agency (ESA) is at the forefront of exploring the vastness of space, and one of its key facilities is the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) located in Noordwijk, the Netherlands. This site is the technical heart of ESA, where groundbreaking projects and missions are conceptualized and developed. From the design and construction of space missions to the rigorous testing of spacecraft in environmental simulators, ESTEC is where the future of European space exploration takes shape. It's not just a hub for scientists and engineers; it's also an educational center where the public can engage with space through the Space Expo museum. Here, visitors can touch a real meteorite, explore a model of the International Space Station, and even earn an astronaut diploma through interactive missions designed for children. The Space Expo offers a unique glimpse into the world of space travel, right next to the facility where Europe's space missions are born.
From 3 to 5 December 2024, the international space community will meet in Bonn for a forum with the motto 'Sustainable Space for Sustainability on Earth'. Representatives from industry and research, as well as international organisations, governments and space agencies, will come together to discuss solutions for greater sustainability in space and ways in which space can contribute to sustainable development on Earth. The World Space Forum 2024 is organised by the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) in collaboration with the German Space Agency at the German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR), on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), and Peru and the United Arab Emirates.

Nadie comprende lo que fue, nadie sabe lo que fuiste, nadie supo realmente algo, eran las palabras, eran las promesas, los sueños, una aventura lejana. Han pasado tantos meses, tanto tiempo, tantas personas, tantas palabras, lugares, tantas preguntas y respuestas que el tema ya párese gastado, los ánimos reprimidos y los corazones callados.
