Thousands flocked to ESTEC, ESA's technical heart in the Netherlands on Sunday 6 October to celebrate the ESA Open Day.
People got the chance to meet astronauts, space experts and saw behind the scenes of Europe’s space adventure at ESA’s largest establishment.

I processed this from the raw data which looks a lot different - it's dominated by sunglare, so it's hard to see the stars or the solar wind. The comet nucleus is also very overexposed, which I repaired in this version.

1.- "Yo las he pasado duras, pero soy un poco a prueba de balas. Siempre fui diferente. Esa fue mi bendición y mi pecado".
2.- "Se me cerraron las puertas a principios de los 80. No había ofertas de trabajo, no había lugares donde cantar, no me llamaban de la televisión. Entonces, comencé a trabajar en boites, en locales nocturnos. Entonces los artistas eran joyitas y los locales de la bohemia no les parecían a su altura. Yo, como tenía mundo y no me avergonzaban nimiedades, rompí el tabú. Yo levanté la noche en los 80. Durante el toque actuaba y me quebaba en los locales hasta las 7 de la mañana. Hacía patria".
3.- "Yo nunca he tomado alcohol. Sólo me curé una vez en mi vida, a los trece años. Entonces me tomé en una fiesta una mezcla de vino, pisco y algún otro licor, vaya uno a saber. El malestar me volvió abstemia de por vida. Lo mismo con las drogas. Con la marihuana ni siquiera lo intenté".
4.- "Estuve veintisiete días presa y otro tiempo firmando en el Patronato de Reos como delincuente. Imagínate. No se lo doy a nadie, pero reconozco que las chiquillas adentro me trataron bien, me protegieron. Es otro mundo. Otros códigos".
5.- "Cuando grabé "Gracias a la vida" no la querían aceptar los sellos, pero después fue un bombazo. Me contrataron en el Bim Bam Bum, después le hice un homenaje a Violeta que duró seis meses. Fue increíble, pero me jugó en contra. Los señores sabelotodos de entonces no me perdonaron haber grabado a Violeta y la "Plegaria a un labrador" de Víctor Jara, que yo tomé por seguir la oda folclórica. Pero eso se tergiversó y hasta llegaron a acusarme de que pertenecía al Mir. Decían que era subversiva".
6.- "Yo he tenido penas de amor, pero también son secretos de sumario. Eso no más digo. Sobre los rumores, que me vean como quieran ver. Porque si me acabrono, no consigo nada. Si soy, soy. Si no soy, no soy. Chao. No entiendo cuál es el interés de la gente por saberlo todo sin necesidad".
7.- "Mi carrera no me permitió desarrollarme en el aspecto matrimonial, tener hijos, ser dueña de casa, lavar calzoncillos del marido. Yo veía a mis colegas casadas con maridos, parejas que les prohibían cosas y no me gustó. Tampoco habría podido hacerlo. Yo siempre estuve acostumbrada a que me atendieran".
8.- "(Mon Laferte) Es mi amiga, me mandó unos cuadros hermosos, yo la quiero mucho y le deseo lo mejor “.
9.- "No imaginan lo feliz afortunada que soy de haber nacido en mi Tomé. Gracias @munitome por esto. Gracias a todo mi pueblo por hacer que en mi vida vea los frutos y el amor. Gracias a ustedes por amarme".

The dust movement in this animation likely includes also the parallax due to the spacecraft scaninng the surface while on its orbit.

The six new recruits were selected as ESA astronauts in May 2009. They joined ESA in September 2009 and successfully completed Astronaut Basic Training in November 2010.

The 11th annual ESA Open Day at ESA’s technical centre in Noordwijk, the Netherlands, took place on the weekend of 1 and 2 October 2022. On 1 October, visitors with disabilities had the opportunity to follow the tour at their own pace. On both days visitors were able to meet astronauts, space scientists and engineers and learn all about the work carried out at Europe’s largest space establishment.
