Skeletons of rust reach for the sky

Ruined empires of days gone by

Dreams of lies buried in the sand

The end of days will have been long planned

Children's children have passed away

Their auspicious lives lost in the fray

Carrion birds are all at play

The world again will be theirs one day

......It’s said that at the end of the rainbow, a leprechaun mines his gold from veins that pulse with a light no sun ever made. The treasure he extracts lies scattered carelessly across the blasted terrain—twisted stacks, half-melted coins, and small hills of raw gold pushed toward his ruined castle like offerings. The rutted, hidden track that leads to his crumbling keep winds through these mounds, half-swallowed by the shifting earth. He lives alone in the shadows, guarding his hoard with traps, whispers, and old, crawling curses. They say those who reach the rainbow’s end never leave whole—if they leave at all.

Thank you Phoenixx bestie for getting on the sun with me =PP

I've had this one for a little while and just came across it, figured I'd share. :)

A beautiful sunset, over The Entrance, on the Central Coast of NSW.

I love the mirror finish of the uppercase lettering with its reflections of the vertical lines from the copper cladding, combined with the narrow strip of red neon against the dark gunmetal grey background.

The last day of the year,

Last sunset,

Last hours…

In anticipation of a new day,

A new year,

A fresh beginning,

I sincerely wish you a New Year full of happiness and prosperity, dear friends.

It has been a tough year here, the situation still ongoing, unfortunately. I hope it ends very soon.

I would like to thank all my genuine friends for their support and understanding. I’m grateful for that.

And, a message to hopeless sinners, who have hurt all mankind just to save their own beliefs.. STOP IT !!!

Try to make some sense of your existence.

If you can’t add any good to this planet, just keep it as is. It’s already a wonderful place!!!

Absoluut

Land's End at Englands beautiful South. The rough coastline produces nice waves during stormy weather.

End of a perfect summers day.

The last of the autumn colours. Taken two weeks ago before last weeks storms, which took all of the leaves down. The trees were mostly bare and very frosted on my morning walk today…

A wider version of the view from Mount Tamalpais over San Francisco than something I uploaded a few weeks ago, the park is supposed to close at sunset, and I was at the end of the park road, a 30 minute drive from the gate, already 20 minutes AFTER sunset, I was worried about getting locked inside, when I arrived, the parking area was almost full, when I left, there was only one other car remaining. I hope they made it out in time, I drove like crazy down the road, and the rangers seemed ready to lock the gate behind me, and no, you cannot camp at the summit. The weather conditions were exceptionally clear that day, it's not worth the risk and stress otherwise.

Land's End is the most westerly point of mainland England and Cornwall.

On our weekend trip to Cornwall we visited Land's End late afternoon because we were not interested in the tourist attractions and wanted to avoid the crowds. That part of the plan worked quite well.

What did not work as planned was the sunset shot of the rock arch because we got thick sea mist moving around the cape instead! Luckily I had a bit of filter play earlier and what you see here is the result.

This is a picture I took on the evening my mum passed away on which I came home from university and noticed the beautiful warm light shining on the meadow on the other side of the street. On that afternoon, she took all her strength to see her garden one last time from the balcony and after that she fell asleep and didn't wake up anymore. For me, this shot expresses the peaceful and much too early end of her life. Even if it was hard to let her go, I'm so glad that I was with her in the last hours she spent on that planet.

Nice to see snow on Great End!

Well, end of season for heather at least.

I didn't make it at the right time and so I this is what was left. Usually it's way more "purpelier" ;o)

Bray-dunes, mai 2015

Whilst taking pictures of my cricket teams final game of the season, I was watching these farmers sowing I assume winter barley as the end of the game approached.

I was reflecting on the end of a fabulous summer, my team East Harlsey CC had it's finest season ever, winning the league as well as numerous cups. Also the weather this summer was fabulous. Sadly winter is near with its dark and cold but I am looking forward to Spring, where the blooms and the birds make a re-appearance.

There's always a way to get around a fence - if not over, then under or around the end!

Happy Fence Friday -- and have a great weekend too!
