Flower for Monday again!!! Spring is over now in Australia, so we are in Summer now. Something funny about Australia is that Christmas in Summer... it actually sounds a bit weird...

I photographed the series of waterfalls during our visit to Connecticut last December. However, the icy conditions made crossing the river next to impossible. I just had to go back and see what I could capture from the other side!

Ended up at The Roaches on Tuesday morning after checking Chrome Hill where the inversion was at it's thickest, and had a good walk to Hen Cloud and back.
This is looking out towards Cheshire where the inversion/mist was still lingering. Finally broke around midday.
As you walk down the trail, you come across several waterfalls, one more beautiful than the others. They've now installed stairs, which I don't think were there 3 years ago at my last visit.

Baburgh St Aidan's Church.
According to Bede, St Aidan built a wooden church outside the castle wall in AD 635, and he died here in AD 652. A wooden beam preserved inside the church is traditionally said to be the one on which he rested as he died.
The present church dates from the late 12th century,
