A distant encounter with a coyote captured with my Nikon D80 and 18-200mm lens at 200mm (300mm full-frame equivalent) while touring around the south rim of Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona, USA circa February 2008.
Stumbled upon this photo while rummaging through my Lightroom catalog of Grand Canyon photos...never gave it a second glance before as I never processed any of my Raw images up until about a year ago. With just a few edits I was surprised at the results.
This is photo from my book 'Winged Encounters' published by the Lilliput Press, Dublin.
The book is dedicated to bird photography and the local birds around Dublin parks and waterways..

Here is Leo courageously exploring the wild nature of my roof terrace. I think he has taken a shine to the bamboo but he loves the other plants too. :)
On the edge of a mushroom an encounter between a very little animal and a tiny waterdrop and me looking at it through the eye of the camera. Found it this morning during a walk in the forrest.
Glad to be home again after a very intense origami-convention in Lyon ;-))
90 019 and 90 024 speed south with 4M25 Mossend to Daventry with hardly a glance from the couple strolling up the station ramp, probably doing the Brief Encounter thing.
The main reason why this image is called ''Encounter'' is the ''strange face'' that I noticed while editing the image into dark dehaze. It's like a ghost of an unknown entity with a human face. But I am sort of dissapointed that noone noticed it:((

However, the bike is not hers, but a ‘’shared bike‘’,which is from the Bike-sharing business. She uses it to transport her belongings, angrily hostile to his surrounding and scursing angrily into the air. No one knows exactly what she had encountered.
Throwback to two years ago - harsh winter weather in Lapland. We barely made our night train connection because the windshield wipers of the connecting bus had frozen and did not work. Luckily the driver got the help needed. After each snow plough that passed visibility was briefly reduced to none, driving in a cloud of snow.
Sunrise at Encounter Bay South Australia.
A two shot Vertorama with24mm perspective control lens.
The lens focused on the foreground then shifted down. Then the lens is shifted up for the next shot.
No moving of the camera and the images stitch perfectly together.
I usually do 3 shot and all three fit seamlessly.
One of my favorite lens which I have had since 2013.

heartfelt thanks for taking time to comment! stay safe and enjoy a wonderful sunday evening, dear flickr friends 🌙🍃
A new little cat has moved into the street. Dusty has not been enjoying this weather, so he's spent plenty of time sitting up at the bedroom window watching what happens on the street outside. On this particular evening he stepped onto our front balcony and his long fur was being blown all over the place.
I heard a little noise and stepped outside to see what was going on. Nothing dramatic or indicating a cat fight, but some rather muted exchanges of cats' cries. Dusty is a big tall cat as the photos I post below indicate. But he was hunched down very low as you can see here (rather strange for a cat that bosses the street). And there sheltering from the wind behind a large terracotta pot was a beautiful creature with the most beguiling eyes.
I'm not sure the little cat knew what to expect next, and as I brought my camera up for the shot it looked at me as if to say, "How can I get out of this mess?" Everything ended well. Dusty was on his best behaviour, and the little cat was seen again with Dusty the next morning. There is a distinct hierarchy among the cats and Dusty was making sure the new kid on the block understood its place.
