Emerald river dance
with such velvety grace
to the rhythm of the Earth
And every beat reveals
magic pathways of light
where each seeker finds rebirth
The sun to the bleating absence of sound
And you will hear what is

Found this old shot from a good few years ago! And a very very old camera too!
This is the aptly-named Emerald Lake in Yoho national park in British Columbia in Canada. It really is that green too!
A beautiful green hue truly reflects this lake’s name. The colour gets very intense in the summer, and Mount Burgess complements the backdrop.
What a perfect scenario to visit the Cilantro restaurant located across the bridge, and enjoy a drink while taking in views of the lake This is the largest lake in Yoho National Park, BC, maybe 20 minutes of Lake Louise. Enjoy it!
Thanks for your visits and comments. As always, appreciated very much!

Downy Emerald - Cordulia aenea
A metallic green dragonfly with a copper sheen and noticeable bright apple green eyes. The male has a slightly club shaped abdomen and as the name suggests a downy thorax.
A pond within or close to deciduous woodland with scattered bankside trees, sparse stands of emergent vegetation and a carpet of leaf litter on the pond floor will offer the best conditions for breeding.
It has a scattered distribution from Devon to the highlands of Scotland, although it has a stronghold in the South East of England.
Length: 48mm.
May – August.

The Emerald Lakes are located on The Tongariro Alpine Crossing in Tongariro National Park, New Zealand, it is considered to be the most popular one-day Hike in New Zealand (Or as Kiwis say: a one-day tramp), throughout the entire hike there is astounding volcanic scenery.
Probably the most amazing part of the nearly 20 kilometers hike of Tongariro Alpine Crossing is the Emerald Lakes, usually on days with good weather, the hike is packed with people.

We got to the polygonal lakes. They are called polygonal because of the peculiarity of the bottom soil, which forms geometrically regular polygons during freezing. It was raining as usual. The color of the water was simply mesmerizing, so I ran around these lakes and took pictures, despite the slight inconvenience of rain
Wikipedia: Papilio palinurus, the emerald swallowtail, emerald peacock, or green-banded peacock, is a butterfly of the genus Papilio of the family Papilionidae. It is native to Southeast Asia, but is regularly kept in butterfly houses around the world.
The iridescent green sheen of the bands of this butterfly is not produced by pigments, but is structural coloration produced by the microstructure of the wing scales. They refract the light and give rise to blue and yellow visible reflections, producing the perception of green color when additively mixed.
