This is a photograph that I took at the Gold Cup meeting at Oulton Park in August 2005. It's the 1956 Lotus Eleven of Neil Davies that competed in the BRDC Historic Sportscar Championship race and which the programme of the event says has a 1,480cc engine. The Lotus Eleven was designed by Colin Chapman and the aerodynamic body by Frank Costin and was intended to compete in the 1,100cc sports car class. A Lotus Eleven with a 1,098cc Coventry Climax engine driven by Reg Bicknell and Peter Jopp finished in seventh place in the 1956 Le Mans 24 Hour Race, winning the 1,100cc class. The Lotus Eleven was raced with various other engine sizes up to 1,500cc, and for the 1957 Le Mans 24 Hour Race Coventry Climax produced the 744cc FWC engine that enabled the Lotus Eleven of Cliff Allison and Keith Hall to win the 750cc class, and also the Index of Performance.

The number 22 car in the background is Bernard Brock’s Formula Junior 1959 Elva 100.

One of my favorite clients added this little gal to their family last week. She is exquisite.

7-Eleven in Taiwan, where I live, has very high visibility. There are shops in various areas, which is very convenient for our lives, so I made it, although it is not made with physical bricks.

I sure hoped everyone remembered to get a Slurpee; unfortunately, this store was out of the cups.

A view of one of the big old ornate houses, located in Carthage Missouri. I suspect that this house is on one of the historical society's tours and wouldn't it be great to take tour of it?

This is a photograph I took in the paddock at the British Empire Trophy meeting at Oulton Park in April 1957. It's the Ecurie White Rose team's Lotus Eleven Le Mans of Alex McMillan which had a 1,096cc Stanguellini engine (the programme of the event says that it's a 'Lotus-Stranguellini'!). There were three heats based on engine sizes and he finished in 22nd place in the overall standings.

The Lotus Eleven is a sports racing car built in various versions by Lotus from 1956 until 1958. In total, about 270 Elevens of all versions were built. The Eleven was designed by Colin Chapman and fitted with a sleek body designed by aerodynamicist Frank Costin. Despite the wide variety of engines installed, the car was primarily designed to compete in the 1100 cc class where it was one of the most successful cars during the mid- to late-1950s

Lol, I'll have to do another group shot in a few weeks once my current wait is over. i have one doll to ship, another to arrive, and another to pay off. Anna, Bray, Creost, and Li are missing because one, two of them are just floating heads and one has no faceup, eyes or wig, and two, i thought it'd be nice to give that story their own pic :)

Anyway - if you have an questions about the dolls let me know. I don't have the juice to write them all down atm sorry! i'm more than happy to give you info if you need it though, just ask :)

Last year I went to Höchst on the last Sunday before the first lockdown, which was fairly mild in Germany. How many of us expected everything would still be closed eleven months later? I certainly did not. And yet here we are.

Feeling pretty crappy today. Very sick.

I wanted to do this with real goldfish.. but my parents wouldn't let me buy any. This was more or less the conversation:

ME: "So Dad I need to get some goldfish."

DAD: "Oh no! No more pets! We already have way more than we know what to do with."

ME: "Oh Dad, it's just a few goldfish. It's not like they're gonna poop on the carpet or get caught by the dog catcher or anything. Plus they cost like ¢20 a peice."

DAD: "You already have way more you need to be focusing on. School, starting that etsy site, just do one thing at a time."

ME: "But it's a GOLDFISH! It doesn't really need much attention."

DAD: "no. End of discussion."

MOM: "Why do you need a goldfish anyway?"

ME: "Pictures."

DAD (supressing laughter..) "If you just need it to take pictures you don't need it right now at all. Okay?"

No one understands me. haha
