L’abbaye Saint-Maurice de Carnoët ou site abbatial de Saint-Maurice est situé sur la rive droite de la ria de la Laïta, côté Finistère, dans la commune de Clohars-Carnoët, quelques kilomètres au sud de la ville de Quimperlé. C’est une abbaye cistercienne en ruines, mais qui conserve des éléments architecturaux intéressants dans un cadre naturel splendide. Elle intéresse aussi les naturalistes (arbres remarquables, chauves-souris).

Fortement touchée pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, elle a été acquise, avec son domaine de 118 hectares, par le Conservatoire du littoral en 1991.( source: wikipedia)

I watched this bear for approximately 10 minutes as he worked his way across the field popping up and down at intervals. This photo is while he was watching 3 whitetail bucks he had spooked run out of the field toward my set-up.

The Darmstadtium convention centre in Darmstadt, Hessen, Germany, named after the synthetic chemical element that was created at the Heavy Ion Research centre near Darmstadt.

The element has the symbol Ds and the atomic number 110, after 109 Mt (Meitnerium) and before 111 Rg (Roentgenium), in case you're interested.

Les éléments s'affrontent dans le ciel pour mon plus grand bonheur. Comme une réponse à l'éruption du Piton de la Fournaise, des éclairs traversent le ciel de St Pierre. Je décide de monter en haut du Piton Rouge pour admirer ce spectacle de toute beauté.
