I don’t know how we came across this rock exactly as my father used to collect interesting lumps of rock. We have granite from Cornwall which was going to be my first choice but the I remembered about this copper containing rock. There are circular holes in the rock so I assume that there must be a volcanic element to it tough I cannot be sure.

A nice spring sky reflected on one of the sides of the Darmstadtium congress center in Darmstadt, Germany. Darmstadtium is both the name of this wonderfully photogenic building and of the transuranic element 110, which was synthesized in a research center close to town.
It is always a special time when you can watch the sun setting at Heceta Head on the beautiful Central Oregon Coast.

Well... the first rains have fallen... the fields have all been plowed (hopefully not with this plow)... the seeds have been sown... the seedlings have germinated... and I'm very much in my element! The dull brown Durbanville landscapes of the Summer months... have once again been totally transformed!! :)
I must say that I'm very impressed... for a $700 camera... this Nikon D3100 takes some pretty awesome photos!

got to stop googling stuff about the snail ( did you know they poop thru their mouth ? ) ----but they do have two sets of antenna -- the top Antennae holds the eyespot which only detects light and dark -- the two smaller antenna are for touch and smell........( to be continued ? )
