In the primal broth that sustains and gives life, there dwells a being of mesmerizing allure. Her beauty is as intoxicating as the sweetest nectar, her presence a siren's call that beckons all who dare to venture near.
But beneath her captivating facade lies a darkness that pulses with an irresistible energy. It is the essence of desire, of temptation and allure, drawing unsuspecting souls into its web with promises of ecstasy and bliss.
For centuries, she has walked the fine line between good and evil, her power fueled by the primal forces of creation and destruction. To some, she is a harbinger of doom, a temptress leading them astray from the path of righteousness. To others, she is a muse, an inspiration for the deepest desires of the soul.
But in the end, good and evil are but two sides of the same coin, each serving a purpose in the grand weave of existence. In the eternal struggle between good and evil, desire serves as the driving force, shaping the destiny of mortals and gods alike, and she, with her tempting beauty and alluring presence, is but a reflection of that eternal truth.

The Spirit of Ecstasy is the bonnet ornament on Rolls-Royce cars. It is in the form of a woman leaning forwards with her arms outstretched behind and above her. Billowing cloth runs from her arms to her back, resembling wings.

The Spirit of Ecstasy, also called "Emily", "Silver Lady" or "Flying Lady", was designed by English sculptor Charles Robinson Sykes and carries with it a story about secret passion between John Walter Edward Douglas-Scott-Montagu, (second Baron Montagu of Beaulieu after 1905, a pioneer of the automobile movement, and editor of The Car Illustrated magazine from 1902) and the model for the emblem, Eleanor Velasco Thornton. Eleanor (also known as Thorn) was the secretary of John Walter, who fell in love with her in 1902 when she worked for him on the aforesaid motoring magazine. Their secret love was to remain hidden, limited to their circle of friends, for more than a decade. The reason for the secrecy was Eleanor's impoverished social and economic status, which was an obstacle to their love. On the other hand, Montagu was married to Lady Cecil Victoria Constance Kerr since 1889.
Eleanor died on 30 December 1915 when the SS Persia was torpedoed by a U-boat south of Crete. She had been accompanying Lord Montagu who had been directed to assume a command in India. He was thought to have been killed too, but survived and was saved after several days adrift in a life raft.

Not a soul around, just me, the mountains and some magical light over the mountains. I was all alone soaking in the view, in a state of extreme happiness. Having traversed up mountain slopes just in time to witness this magnificent sunset. Me and my family made the climb on horseback, the horses scaring the life out of us, slipping in the mud and jumping over rocks and on reaching our destination I drifted away from them to take some photos and then the light show happened. Frantically looked around for an interesting foreground but being on an open meadow found nothing plus time wasn't there to look around much. So putting the camera on the tripod I positioned myself in the frame and let the camera take a number of shots, at least that way I could compensate for the lack of an interesting foreground and at the same time add some interest to the overall scene and also portray my feelings of exaltation and ecstasy. Soon I heard my son calling out to me and as I didn't respond I saw him running across the meadow to where I was, telling me to pack up as we would otherwise have to ride downhill in absolute darkness, which was definitely not an option. So packing up things, I looked back wistfully at the mountains and offered a thank you for treating me to this exquisite show.
This picture was taken in Palouse, WA on the scenic byway. I have some hundreds of pictures like this. Every single frame was a picture in this scenic byway. I couldn't help but to stop my car every one minute and take a couple of pictures. It was hard to avoid passing by without a click and weather was perfect with some wonderful clouds as you can see above after a terrible, rainy and cloudy Saturday, I went back Sunday and took these shots.
