Night shot looking toward the spots where 27 & 29 Hanbury Street used to be. Number 27 is the one on the left with the lights on, & number 29 is on the right.
Annie Chapman was found murdered in the backyard of 29 Hanbury Street on September 8 1888. Around 5:30ish, Albert Cadosch, who lived at number 27, had to go into the outhouse in the backyard, & on his way back into the house, he heard a woman's voice say "no" & a sound against the fence. Had he looked over the fence, he may have caught Jack The Ripper in the act.
