It's that magical time of year at Echo Ridge. Fires are lit and cabins are warm as the snow starts to fall on the evergreen forests. Hear the ice sing under the setting sun and make a wish upon a shooting star.

With a ubiquitous quartet of EMD SD40-2s for power, a Union Pacific intermodal train meets a rail train, with GE C30-7s (lead by class engine 2400), tied down on the center siding at Echo, Utah.

Echo consists of 4 rings that can move each in 360 degrees of freedom. While one ring is motorized the others react to the slightest disbalance to create a complex set of movements.
ECHO is made for the new building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (BZ), the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment (IenM), the Immigration and Naturalization Service (IND) and the Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (COA) designed by OMA Architects.
Echo is 24h a day visible from the Turfmarkt, right next to Central Station, in The Hague and looks especially good in the afternoon sun.

U-3PO droid seem to be lost in the desert. Again.
And finally an addition to my toys album! I'm very happy way this turned out as this is all in-camera. There'a decent amount of realism, which makes this 3.75 inch action figure a bit more alive. I think, it also has a bit classic feel of the Original Trilogy, but that's just my two cents!

As Ladybower's water level is extremely low, I had to make a visit to see the old sunken village, or what remains of it, in this shot is the old Derwent Hall, even though it got flattened by the water board, it's still an interesting little place to visit. It must have been a gorgeous building and I bet if the village was still standing today, it would be a right tourist trap.
Found mostly in Florida, the echo moth, Seirarctia echo, is a beautiful moth with a large, brightly colored caterpillar
I've been away to the city for a few days visiting family. Walking through the downtown streets along all the facades of mirrored glass, it seems there are endless echoes of light.

This is my teenage son's clock. He used to have an "old fashioned" alarm clock (with the digital red numbers) but it wouldn't keep the time properly. He recently purchased this Echo Dot from Amazon and I have to say it is a pretty cool little gadget. Yes, it does "listen" to you but I don't have anything I need to "hide" from the government! LOL! Ask it anything and it will answer you. You just have to say "Alexa, what is the temperature outside today?" Or "Alexa, play 80's music" and it will do what you say. I taught my kid something new and he thinks its funny..."Alexa, fart!" and it really will make the farting sound! No, I never grew up...LOL! When it comes to this image I wished I had asked Alexa to do something, then the bottom of the device would have lit up bright blue...oh well....Happy Smile on Saturday to all!!
