The plant Filou was chewing on is Teucrium marum, also called cat thyme. Some cats react to it like they react to catnip. Filou and Sethi love it whereas Cleo and Tofu aren't particularly interested in it.

Dromedary camels are herbivorous. They eat primarily thorny plants, dry grasses and saltbush. They need 6 to 8 times as much salt as other animals for absorption and storage of water. Consequently, 1/3 of their food intake must be halophytic plants.

Dromedaries browse up to a height of 3.5 m, breaking off branches or stripping off the leaves in one movement. While browsing, they use their lips to grasp the food, then chew each bite 40-50 times.

The red old pot is for garlic butter, on the grill there is Snoek, a Barracuda type fish that is very popular in this country. Bbq is a very strong tradition and lifestyle locally. Usually lamb chops, sausage,steaks, chicken kebabs or flatties, or Snoek. Or any combination of aforementioned, with potato and other salads,also cheese,tomato+onion sandwich roasties.

Today I spent some time taking photos at "São Bernardo" lake. Yonder is a very beautiful place, and the weather is extremely pleasant. I Returned home feeling very good, because it's a very peaceful and harmonious place.

With conversation temporarily suspended, a pair of old-hand train crew can't help but get drawn to the sight (and the sound) of GB Railfreight 'Shed' 66708 rumbling through the centre of Leeds station with the 9.53am Hunslet Tilcon - Arrow Quarry (6M31) discharged hoppers.

Their fascination is perhaps no surprise either - heck, after more than 50 years of watching freight trains even I still get mesmerised by this stuff!

Not a rail photography trip today but rather a social visit to meet up with an old college mate for a bite to eat. I pocketed the little Sony, just in case, and got lucky with timings as well as the gap in the cloud.

I've left the tones a little dark to retain the richness.

This Crab-eating Fox was, typically, seen at dusk in grassland bordering forest. It feeds on mice frogs, insects and fruit adding crabs to its diet during the rainy season, hence its common name.

Photographed at the west end of Lake Ontario, this Herring Gull is eating a fish that I believe is a Rudd, a non-native invasive species. The gulls should eat as many of these particular fish as possible!

Another place to eat inside at the Truck Stop.

This was at the "Truck Stop" in Show Low, Arizona, USA.. A fun place of different foods, drinks, bands, arts, crafts, and games. The theme is old trucks and they are parked all around with many being used as seating, stage, or decoration.
