I lost sight of this red-tailed hawk and then walked off the trail looking up at the trees til I saw him chowing down and in no rush to fly off.
This cardinal look at me like "Excuse me Mar can you take your picture in other time?" lol

This pied-billed grebe was trying to get the youngster to eat this crawfish/crayfish/crawdad. Eventually, it did get it eaten, but took several attempts and drops!

We get a lot of turkeys in the yard eating dropped seeds from the squirrel feeder, but this is the first year we see one in the tree, almost every day ! The squirrels aren't very happy.

"Rusty" How can you eat that mini-sandwich? ... Silly question ... I watched him eat the one he's about to enjoy and before he departed to wherever he goes he proceeded to eat the other one.
This fascinating Green Iguana was found inside the butterfly farm, of all places. We got quite the show as she made her way along the top lattice, eating leaves, and then climbing down to walk along the foot path. (See pics below)
I was told that her and the male are usually found lounging around in the same spot most of the day and rarely come down to the ground.

It was interesting to watch this little flock of Canada Geese (Branta canadensis) walking across this field eating all the new green grass!
Looks like this fish will make a nice snack for this snowy egret. It's a bird-eat-fish world out there
This Little Blue Heron pulled an odd looking fish out of the Gulf of Mexico. How does it know if it is safe to eat?
Eating popcorn I put out there. All it needs is a movie to watch while it eats popcorn.

This is my contribution to Color my World Daily Group. Today, the color is.... green! And also, today, I'm getting back on the wagon of eating healthy! Is that a New Year’s resolution? Absolutely not! I'm just back on track and I have exactly 5 days to make my pants fit like before Christmas time (I’m going back to work)!!!! Wish me luck!!!

This White-throated Sparrow appeared to be eating a leaf. Hopefully there was an insect on the leaf for a meat course.

Asparagus spears dripping with butter. They made a delicious addition to lunch after I finished shooting.
