Vincent Van Gogh painted the āStarry Nightā masterpiece whilst in asylum. His creation has ever since inspired us all to look upwards. The celestial poetry is enchanting enough to alleviate even despair, so stargazing is priceless as a remedy. Art further enhances this remedy into even an Elixir by adding a key componentāa foreground imbued with eternity to some degree:
This is a Star Trails shot of part of the sky above Meteora, Greece. Invisible time gets to be captured in a photograph, as time is manifested in Earthās rotation on its axis. A grand scale of eternity emerges from the cosmos swirling around lofty rock formations formed sixty million years ago, geologically unique and listed in UNESCO world heritage sites.
The three-and-a-half hours long shooting was inspired by the Dutch masters. So, another, abstract version of this photograph was dedicated to Dutch Art with the occasion of the Dutch Design Week 2020 ā The New Intimacy.
