Misty morning on the Dutch Countryside with cows and a windmill

Dutch was handy to model... hehehehe...well it LOOKED in focus to me...but I see that it is not...so I guess with my watering eyes and sneezing I can blame it on that. But, it's only meant to be a tease anyway...so I'll say I planned the "soft focus"...lol

They can't officially wear it til at least it feels like SPRING ...that may be awhile :(

Ensemble by Shazdolls ... Thank you Shaz and "Mom"...it's lovely!

We are TRYING to save it for SPRING...but, had to at least do a few

little pics...it's so pretty! Lovely in every way!

Fuji Instax Wide Film

This Instax shot is currently (for sale!) part of @lancephoto ‘s The Instant Photo Show 2025 down in St. Petersburg, Florida. Sometimes I miss shooting the Instax Wide. Always plan to buy a new camera that functions correctly, then never do. I still have a couple of packs of film to burn through though. Also miss the tulip fields in Holland, Michigan. Such a pretty place and unique experience!

Noordwaard Polder in the Dutch nature reserve Biesbosch on a cloudy morning. The water level in the adjacent New Merwede river is very high and the surplus water is now temporarily collected in the polder.

Located at the northwestern edge of Golden Gate Park, the Dutch Windmill was the first of two windmills built to provide irrigation for the park. Construction began in 1902 and was completed in 1903.

When operational, it pumped 30,000 gallons of water per hour.

Electric pumps replaced the need for windmills and by 1913, the Dutch Windmill was no longer operating. It fell into disrepair like the Murphy Windmill(located at the southwestern edge of the park).

In 1964 a committee was formed to restore both windmills and the Dutch was the first project...completed in 1981.

De afgelopen weken - later dan normaal vanwege het lang aanhoudende koude weer - bloeiden de bollenvelden weer volop. Inmiddels zijn de meeste velden weer aan het verdwijnen.

In recent weeks - later than usual due to the long persistent cold weather - the bulb fields have been blooming again. Most fields are now disappearing again.

Extensive field with clay soil in the outskirts of the South Holland village of Goudswaard, municipality of Hoeksche Waard. Potatoes were planted in the field and the soil was then earthed up. Due to the persistent drought, growth is still lagging somewhat. Behind the dike in the background is the Haringvliet and at the small hut on the right begins the Korendijkse Slikken nature reserve, which is part of the Haringvliet Natura 2000 area.
