Dutch Holocaust Names Memorial, designed by architect Daniel Libeskind.
The memorial consists of four Hebrew letters that make up a word that translates as ‘In memory of’. When visitors enter the memorial, they find themselves in a labyrinth of passageways flanked by two-metre-tall brick walls that convey the message ‘In memory of’. Inscribed on each of the 102,000 bricks is a name, date of birth and age of death, in such a way that the name of each victim can be touched. The walls of names support the four letters in reflective stainless steel (holocaustnamenmomument.nl).

I was experimenting with Dutch Angle photography, tommorows theme for Macro Monday, but suddenly found myself in Deep Water !!
Allready more than a year I was hoping on making this kind of picture of this beautiful Dutch dike village nearby Amsterdam. I come here every week during my bicycle tours. Now I had my camera with me and the circumstances were perfect: sunshine, less wind, white clouds and a blue sky. Very special is the floating young reed in its spring green color. Durgerdam, 2018.
This is My Best Shot 2018, because I wanted to make this picture for a long time. And alll at a sudden I saw the oppotunity on one of my weekly trips through this little dike village.

Our cool wet spring has been wonderful for the garden. I planted dutch iris bulbs and cosmos seeds this spring and can't believe the iris are blooming already.
Whenever you're walking out of a forest in the Netherlands this might be what you see, Bergse Heide in the south west near Bergen op Zoom.

A beautiful Saturday morning in Goeree Overflakkee, Holland, where tulips show their gorgeous colors!
Om 7 uur s'morgens wanneer de eerste zon net is opgekomen,
is het in deze polder heerlijk vertoeven met alle vogelgeluiden, zwanen en al de flora en fauna waarvan men met volle teugen kan genieten :)
Bendy beech trees full of nice dense summer greens reflected in a little creek, with quiet waters (as can be expected in a flat country ;-) ). This is about a 30 minute ride from the place I've been born, but I had never been there before...
