Our cool wet spring has been wonderful for the garden. I planted dutch iris bulbs and cosmos seeds this spring and can't believe the iris are blooming already.

Cork / Ireland ... the shape of the building amazed me and I was still disoriented because of riding and walking on the left side :)

Allready more than a year I was hoping on making this kind of picture of this beautiful Dutch dike village nearby Amsterdam. I come here every week during my bicycle tours. Now I had my camera with me and the circumstances were perfect: sunshine, less wind, white clouds and a blue sky. Very special is the floating young reed in its spring green color. Durgerdam, 2018.

This is My Best Shot 2018, because I wanted to make this picture for a long time. And alll at a sudden I saw the oppotunity on one of my weekly trips through this little dike village.

Again, I would like to thank everyone for your support, views, faves and comments!

One of the beautiful windmills at Zaanse Schans

Very fast and noisy in the morning, in my garden.

Nice tail markings on this Dutch C-130H, G-781, at Prestwick 16/1/23.

Loenderveense molen, Holland

Caracteristic Dutch polder landscape in one of the largest polders of the country, the Haarlemmermeer

Om 7 uur s'morgens wanneer de eerste zon net is opgekomen,

is het in deze polder heerlijk vertoeven met alle vogelgeluiden, zwanen en al de flora en fauna waarvan men met volle teugen kan genieten :)

Many thanks for your visit, stars and comments.

I appreciate it very much.

Warm greetings from Holland, Corry

New Holland Honeyeater

≠===================≠

I've been looking for this Mulberry tree for quite awhile, the directions I had been given managed to omit an important fact. Where to start,—before— you turn right, then left, the right again, it's at the back of the fence....

Need I have worried, the New Holland Honeyeater had no trouble finding it.

Haarlem - Noord-Holland - Nederland

Industrial Area, Delfzijl-The Netherlands.

Thanks for your visit, comments and/or faves. Feedback is always appreciated.

Bendy beech trees full of nice dense summer greens reflected in a little creek, with quiet waters (as can be expected in a flat country ;-) ). This is about a 30 minute ride from the place I've been born, but I had never been there before...

A layer of snow on the first days of spring in the Netherlands. So calm and peaceful are these mornings... Love it.

Landgoed Groeneveld,

Giethoorn. Holland.

There are many beautiful villages in the Netherlands, but Giethoorn is something truly special. Also known as the Venice of the Netherlands or the village with no roads, is a place where it feels like you’re entering a fantasy world.

There is such a peaceful and quiet atmosphere, that you’ll want to stay there for a while and forget about everything else. Narrow canals, splendid houses with beautiful gardens (impeccably cared for) and the only noise coming from ducks and water splashing. Over one million tourists visit Giethoorn each year. Regular bus tours from Amsterdam include the highly scenic boat tour on the hand built dykes/canals that run through this amazingly photogenic village. Truly a place like no other that I have visited in 20 years of travelling.

Have a good weekend you all.
