The Duke of Lancaster left to rot.
It was operational as a fun boat for just a few years. A way of getting round Sunday trading laws as the laws allowed trading on board sea going vessels. It can' t be used now for any such public uses due to health and safety reasons as the vehicle access route goes under a very low train bridge which doesn't allow enough room for emergency vehicles. It was built in the 50's by the same company that built the Titanic
Such a waste of a beautiful ship.
Duke Chapel's original organ, the Kathleen McClendon Organ, was built in 1932 and consits of 6,900 pipes lodged behind ornate oak screens in two chambers on either side of the chancel and in front of both transepts.
At Duke Farms, you’ll find over 1000 acres of land devoted to an ongoing exploration—of native species, preservation and sustainability efforts, and of the area’s natural beauty.
A visit to Duke Farms is an opportunity to experience New Jersey’s native landscape at its finest, and to engage with it however you’d like. Duke Farms is located in Hillsborough on a 2,740-acre property, where over 1,000 acres are open to the public for self-discovery, outdoor activities, and education and research related to ecological sustainability.

Duke and Progress Energy 230KV interconnect near Oakboro, NC. Duke's is the double insulators and Progress is single.
This is Duke... our cabin dog. Now he really isn't "our" dog, but whenever we go to visit our cabin he is ALWAYS there once he hears us coming down the road. I know this breed of dog has a bum rap (rightly so some times), but this giant ball of muscle of a dog is all good with our family! He is the biggest lover of us and he follows us down river when were fishing and hangs out with us all night long. We named him Duke cause he looks pretty regal and has a few "battle scars" which have earned him his title as "Duke of Hoopa".
Department: Chapel Music
The Chapel Music department's hard work is visible through incredible concert performances. Rodney Wynkoop, David Arcus, and Allan Friedman are all pictured here (somewhere!).
