Visit of the Duke University of Durham, NC, USA. One of the oldest, and maybe the most beautiful place of the city. I also walked in the Sarah P. Duke Garden

Am I doing this right? I'd love some comments from the seasoned strobists, as I'm pretty new to this and trying to work things out.
I shoot my dog a lot as he is a cheap model, but I really need to find some people.
Technical stuff:
For these I had a 430EX as a hair light. It was about level with the post on the back of the bar stool and slightly angled down.
I leaned my big reflector against the back of the stool too send some of the light back towards the wall. The SB-26 was mounted in an umbrella, high camera left.
I had to add a little fill light in post to bring out a bit of detail in the shadows.

Hi!
This is a photo of a surgical resident (me) laparoscopically removing a gallbladder in "Virtual Reality" in the Surgical Education and Activities Laboratory (SEAL). The department of surgery has a number of different kinds of simulators and trainers to assist in teaching learners new skills as well as train them on more advanced technical skills and decision making.
Thanks,
Jennifer

Going on a college tour in North Carolina. We didn't visit Duke but we drove around on campus. Not just because Dad is huge UNC fan but because it was their spring break so it was completely dead except for people going around and taking photos of this church (including me)

Duke (nickname: Grandpuff) is one of the oldest engines on the island of Sodor. He was named after Duke of Sodor.
Initially he worked with Falcon, Stewart, Smudger and some other unknown engines on the Mid Sodor line till it was shut down. He was briefly retired after the line was sold. He was rebuilt and put back in service on Skorley Line
Duke is based on Prince, a George England tank engine from the Ffestiniog Railway at Porthmadog, North Wales.
